πŸŽ‰βœ¨ A Day of Celebration and Gratitude! βœ¨πŸŽ‰
On August 16, 2026, our Rehoboth Evangelical Church family gathered together with our beloved Grace Chapel congregation to celebrate 25 remarkable years of partnership, fellowship, and worship!

Hundreds of believers filled the room in a truly blessed session of praise and thanksgiving. Together, we honored a quarter-century of unwavering, unconditional support from Grace Chapel a partnership that has been a living testimony of God's faithfulness and the unity of the body of Christ.
As a token of our deep appreciation, we were honored to present Grace Chapel with a commemorative plaque, celebrating this milestone friendship in Christ.

And of course, no celebration is complete without a feast! We shared delicious Ethiopian and Eritrean dishes together, breaking bread as one family in the Lord. 🍽️
To God be the glory for 25 years of partnership, generosity, and fellowship. We look forward to many more years of walking together in faith!

What a joyful and memorable day we shared at our church picnic in Oakfield on July 19, 2026!

It was a wonderful time of Christian fellowship as we gathered to enjoy delicious meals, worship God together, share His Word, and strengthen our bonds as one family in Christ. The day was filled with laughter, exciting games, refreshing swimming, and precious moments that reminded us of God's love and faithfulness.

We thank God for the beautiful weather, the spirit of unity, and everyone who contributed to making this picnic such a special occasion. May the friendships we built and the encouragement we received continue to strengthen our faith and our church family.

"How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity!" – Psalm 133:1

What a joyful and Spirit-filled Sunday we experienced in the presence of God!

Our hearts were encouraged through a powerful message from Exodus 3:1 and onward, where Moses encountered the burning bush. The sermon reminded us that we must remain focused and attentive to God's voice. Just as Moses turned aside to see the burning bush, we too are called to pay close attention to what God is doing around us, because He often reveals His purpose and calling when we seek Him with open hearts.

We were also blessed to witness a
beautiful baby dedication as one of our church families committed their precious baby girl to the Lord. It was a touching moment as our pastor prayed that God would protect her and enable her to grow in grace, wisdom, and the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ throughout her life
We thank God for His living Word, His faithful presence, and the privilege of worshipping together as one family in Christ. May we continue to walk in faith, listen carefully to His voice, and trust Him in every season of life.

We had a truly powerful and spirit-filled time of worship and prayer at our church today.

The sermon centered on the message of β€œOne Church in the Body of Christ – You Are the Light.” We were reminded that as followers of Christ, we are called to shine His light into a world filled with darkness, bringing hope, love, and truth wherever we go.

The message also emphasized that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of darkness, calling us to stand firm in faith, unity, and prayer (Ephesians 6:12).

We also celebrated Father's day.

We were blessed to receive this inspiring sermon from Trevor Seath of the Ontario Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches.

May we continue to grow as one body in Christ and reflect His light in our families, communities, and the world.

Today, we were blessed with a wonderful time of worship and fellowship at church. The sermon, based on Matthew 5:3-10 and reminded us of the Christ-like character and behaviors expected of every believer as we walk in humility, love, and obedience to God.

We were also encouraged by our teenagers as they shared the valuable lessons and spiritual experiences they gained from their inspiring conference held last week.

Another special moment was the dedication of a precious child born into one of our church families. We committed the child to God through prayer, asking for His guidance, protection, and blessings upon the child’s life and future.

We also partook in Holy Communion, remembering and proclaiming the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ through His body and blood, which were given for our salvation.

All glory and praise be to God for His faithfulness and abundant grace.

Yesterday, our church teenagers gathered for an inspiring and life-changing time of fellowship, learning, and reflection on the important themes of Love, Purity, and Commitment.

Through God's Word, meaningful discussions, and heartfelt fellowship, our young people were encouraged to embrace a life that honors Christ, build healthy relationships, and remain committed to their faith and purpose. It was wonderful to see their passion, openness, and desire to grow spiritually.

We thank God for the lives of these young people and pray that the lessons learned will continue to guide them in their daily walk with Him. The future is bright when young hearts are devoted to God's calling!

"Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity." – 1 Timothy 4:12

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our conference presenter and speaker, Mekbib S.Atlaw , for faithfully sharing God’s Word and investing in the lives of our teens & youth. May God continue to use him as a vessel for His glory. Amen

God bless Pastor Bayssa Belachew, Elfa Zewde , Mekbib Atlaw , Tesfamikael, Temesgen and Kelati

What a blessed and inspiring day at church! Our youth led the entire service, including the program, prayers, choir, preaching, and other ministries, demonstrating their commitment to serving God.

The sermon, based on Matthew 5:17–20 with reflections from Galatians and James, focused on salvation, faith, grace, righteousness, and the law. The key message emphasized that God's law and His grace work together, guiding believers to live faithful and righteous lives. The preacher also connected the experiences of the Galatian believers with the challenges facing Christians today.

We thank God for this wonderful time of worship, learning, and fellowship.
