We continue to test and secure our methods for preserving the Shambhala Archives to ensure their safe continuation throughout history. Welcome everyone. On Parinirvana day we commemorate the life of Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, Founder of Shambhala, Naropa University, Nalanda Translation Committee, Dharma Art and numerous Meditation centres, who died 33 years ago on April 4, 1987.
Usually Shambhala Archives hosts a Sadhana of Mahamudra Feast at the Halifax Shambhala Centre along with an exhibit of Rinpocheś personal artifacts and a film of his teaching.
This year, because of the health closures the Centre will host an on-line (zoom) feast, open to all, starting at 6:30 pm, Atlantic Time.

We are in the process of filling a student summer job that is a 9 week position with 30 hours weekly at $15. an hour, beginning in a week, June 25. Service Canada requires that the applicant be a student under 30 years of age.
The work is with a community archives that holds artifacts, audio recordings, video, photography and paper records from the Shambhala community in Nova Scotia. We are a Buddhist church organization and have affiliation with various Buddhist centers in Canada.
The job entails scanning photographs, entering data and handling artifacts for preservation. Library and research skills would be advantageous.
