We’re excited to launch a new rhythm in our church community: Discipleship Courses.

These are 4–5 week, mid-sized gatherings designed to help us grow deeper in our faith together—creating space for intentional spiritual formation as followers of Jesus. We’ll be offering these courses a few times throughout each year.

Our first course begins this Tuesday (May 5) at 6:30pm—and you’re invited. Signups are live on the Church Center app and at www.halifaxchurch.com/events

Let’s lean in together and cultivate a deeper hunger for God’s presence—in our lives, in our community, and in our city.

90 DAY TITHE CHALLENGE

Tithing was an ancient practice in the Scriptures that helped people order their life around God and his kingdom. As followers of Jesus, we are invited into this practice by giving a portion of our income—traditionally a tenth / 10%‍—back to God as an act of trust, worship, and support of God’s ongoing mission among his people.

We’re in a new teaching series titled, A VISION FOR PARTICIPATION.

In it, we’re looking at the New Testament and learning how church wasn’t just a gathering that Jesus followers attended... it was a shared life they stepped into, and a community they actively carried together.

This teaching series is an invitation to move beyond the sidelines and into the joy of generosity, where giving, tithing, and serving become acts of worship that shape us and bless the world around us.

Together, we’re rediscovering how the Kingdom of God moves forward not through spectators, but through surrendered and transformed people. We’re exploring what it looks like to live open-handed, fully engaged in the life and
mission of Jesus.

Join us tomorrow as we enter into the ancient scriptures together!

Details: This past Monday, the Members of Halifax Church gathered for our first Annual General Meeting.

Understatement: God has been so gracious and kind to us in this season. There is a deeply healthy and vibrant culture established in our church, full of people who are hungry and thirsty for more of what God has for our city.

By UNANIMOUS vote via ballot, McCaila & Timothy Andrews were elected as HC's Lead Pastors.

ICYMI— we shared some BIG NEWS this past weekend.

1) We officially announced that Deidra Hudgins is stepping into the role of our new lay Pastor of Prayer and Care. She carries a deep sensitivity to the Holy Spirit in prayer and a genuine heart for walking with people wherever they’re at.

2) We also announced our new church name, “Halifax Church” (HC), along with the story of how the Holy Spirit led us in choosing it.

God has been so gracious and kind to us in this season. Something is stirring, friends. Let’s keep saying yes together!
