Today!!! Movie Night is back.
Join us tonight, August 21 at 7:00pm for The Passion of Joan of Arc (1928, dir. Carl Dreyer)

A masterpiece of cinematography, which closely follows the historical trial of a young woman, only 19 years old, who was accused, tried, and found guilty of heresy in the 15th century. A story of vision, faith, and courage, even to the point of death, and of a remarkable woman who would come to be canonized as a saint in the last century—nearly 500 years after she was burned at the stake.

In our Reel to Real summer film series we'll be watching The Immigrant (2013, dir. James Gray) this week. Everyone is welcome!

~A young Polish woman, Ewa, arrives in New York in 1921 in search of a better life. She is swept off her feet by a troubled and insecure man, Bruno, who entraps her in a world of violence and oppression. Ewa’s Catholic faith gives her strength to endure great troubles and indignities. In spite of her brutal circumstances, Ewa is a beacon of grace, so that even the one who exploits her experiences forgiveness and redemption.

We had a lovely time of sharing music, poetry and art from parishioners and their friends yesterday. Thank you to all who participated in sharing their gifts -- your joy was wonderful to witness!! Thank you also to those came out to watch and enjoy the art. It was a feast of sounds and sights! And also a feast for our bellies as we enjoyed strawberry shortcake! Thank you finally the young folks who helped set up and serve and helped clean up afterward.

This year, Trinity’s Say Yes! to Kids campaign will support its free summer day camps for children, including Vacation Bible School. These camps give children a safe, joyful, and welcoming place to learn, play, sing, build friendships, and grow...

We are watching "The Gospel According to St Matthew"
(1964, dir. Pier Paolo Pasolini)

An epic biblical drama, which follows the life of Jesus of Nazareth, from the nativity to the resurrection, as recounted by Matthew’s Gospel. Simple and unadorned, the film attempts to represent the greatest story that ever took place, through the eyes of the evangelist, for a contemporary audience which may be unbelieving but longs to believe.

Campaign Update: Trinity Anglican Church Halifax 🎉

Thanks to the generosity of their supporters, Trinity Halifax has now unlocked its AFC Angel Donor Match!

Trinity's goal is to raise $3,500 to support its free summer day camps and Vacation Bible School—programs that provide children with a safe, welcoming place to build friendships, explore faith, enjoy music and activities, and experience the love of God in community.

There's still work to do, but this community is building great momentum. Every gift helps ensure that more children and youth can participate in a summer filled with learning, belonging, fun, and faith.
