This year the International Maritime Organization - IMO theme is “Carrying world trade. Carrying the risks.” This theme reflects seafarers keeping global trade and our way of life moving while often facing difficult and dangerous conditions.

During the build up to Day of the Seafarer 2026 and on the day, we will be raising awareness and providing information on the importance of seafarers to our way of life and the conditions they go through.
