In anticipation of their upcoming Quebec-Ontario tour, Capella Regalis Choirs sing the service of Choral Evensong at Trinity Church, Halifax. Music for Ascension Day, with sermon by the Rev'd Dr Gary Thorne. Free and open to the public, with opportunity to give a freewill donation. RSVP via Eventbrite: link in bio.

TRINITY CHURCH is an evangelical Anglican Church in the classical Prayerbook tradition. Established in downtown Halifax as a mission to the poor, the Parish continues this witness to the Gospel by its worship and hospitality now in Fairview neighbourhood.

CAPELLA REGALIS is a Canadian charity founded in Halifax in 2010 by Artistic Director Nick Halley. They offer a free music education to children ages 6+ in a centuries-old tradition, and inspiring choral music presentations for the public.

CHORAL EVENSONG is a 50-minute service of beautiful choral music and prayers at the end of the day. All welcome, of all faiths and none.

Past concert: Andrew Killawee presents, 'The Old Way Home': the debut public performance of a deeply personal project: Andrew returns to the church music of his childhood, specifically the old hymns that first shaped his understanding of communal music-making. Working as a solo artist, he is reimagining these melodies and harmonies to explore the emotional, social, and spiritual resonance of congregational song. There will be opportunities to sing along! Past concert: AL TUCK presents, 'To Be A Pilgrim': The esteemed songwriter unveils a fresh repertoire drawn from his native Anglican Church music tradition. Amid interpretations of well-known hymns and self-penned compositions in the devotional vein, Al will present his new original settings of BCP materials such as the Lord's Prayer and the Magnificat. Those gathered will be invited to join in singing a hymn to close the evening. Admission by donation. All welcome. 321 Main Ave, Fairview.
