To our Kitchener Family, it has been a very difficult week. Adults, let alone children, have been struggling to process the attack that emptied a whole house leaving behind a young survivor.
Through this rally, let us stand in solidarity with the Muslims in London and here at home. Let the families see the support they have in their hometown, on their street corners and in their Mosques.

The Muslim Association of Canada (MAC) joins the calls of thousands of Canadians and people all over the world to end the aggression against Palestinian worshipers at the third Holiest mosque for Muslims, Al Masjid Al-Aqsa in Jerusalem. Palestinian Red Crescent Society has reported 208 civilians have been seriously injured inside the mosque after the raid of armed soldiers last night.

We also join calls to halt the forced evictions of Palestinians from the neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah, taking over their property and leaving them homeless.

We call upon Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marc Garneau, and the Canadian government to condemn these acts of aggression against innocent civilians in places of worship, to respect the sanctity of religious sites (Al-Aqsa Mosque), and to respect the rights of Palestinians over their lands and places of worship.
