At Woodlawn Memorial Park, we strive to keep our grounds a beautiful and safe sanctuary for all. As we welcome the spring season, we would like to share a brief reminder regarding our decoration bylaws:

🌿 Keep it natural: To allow for seasonal maintenance, artificial wreaths are not permitted from May to November.

🌿 Lawn Level Marker Lots: Articles of remembrance or decorations of any kind are not permitted on lawn level sites.

🌿 Items to avoid: For the safety of our visitors and staff, please do not place any articles, including flower vases and pots made of glass, porcelain or other fragile material.

🌿 Columbarium niches: To protect the granite and plaque, we kindly ask that no items be taped or adhered directly to niche fronts.

Our General Manager, Rebecca, and Lead Hand, Myra, had the opportunity to visit McMaster University where extensive research continues on the Baker Street remains. It is truly facsinating to discover so much detail about the earliest residents of Guelph.

Having the opportunity to view and be present with these remains was an honour. Our deepest gratitude to Dr. Brickley and assistant Meghan for having us as guests.

Taking a moment to reflect on our Mother’s Eve Event- A Walk to Remember.

Honouring Mothers and Mother Figures as we planted letters of love and memories in our Mothers Grove. While we listened and enjoyed Pierre’s fiddle melodies.

Finishing off with a walk, learning about the beautiful Magnolia trees in our cemetery led by Steve one of our resident horticulturist and tree specialist.
