The Fellowship

The Fellowship Membership as a Fellowship Baptist Church is always a dual membership with both a Fellowship Region and Fellowship National.

The Fellowship is a denomination of approximately 500 Evangelical Baptist Churches scattered across Canada, from the Yukon to the tip of Nova Scotia, united through our faith in Christ — working nationally and beyond our borders. The Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches in Canada is a movement of approximately 500 local churches committed to common values
and mission, and connected by a Statement of Faith and Bylaws.

Hand-in-Hand Through Alzheimer's Dark Valley, authored by pastor and husband Allan W. Vincent, is shaped by fifty-plus years of marriage and ministry. It does not offer a checklist for managing dementia. Vincent offers something far more demanding and far more beautiful: an unexpected calling. When Lynne's Alzheimer's diagnosis arrived, Allan was not summoned to become her project manager. He was called to remain her husband… This is not a book about what you could do differently. It is a book about what you are called to be–when words fail, when memory fades, and when the person you love can no longer remember your name… Anchored in Scripture and searingly honest about grief, loneliness, and hard-won hope, this memoir reveals that caring is less a task to be mastered and more a vow to be kept. And for the road ahead, you will not be left without provision. Practical appendices covering medical terminology, long-term care finances, caregiving resources, and Scripture for dark valleys ensure that when you close the final page, you are not only consoled–you are equipped.

Allan and Lynne Vincent have served across Canada in pastoral ministry, as Fellowship International missionaries in Japan, and for eighteen years with the Slavic Gospel Association.

Stephen Williams is a Volunteer Education chaplain in Sydney, NS. He writes: "Becoming a chaplain was an easy decision to make, at least for me. I love working with people. I love helping people. Engaging with people wherever I go has always been a pleasure. When my pastor mentioned becoming a chaplain to me, I had a lightbulb moment. Imagine—there is an opportunity to continue doing the ministry I was already doing, but in a more official way. In fact, my ministry up to that point hadn't been identified in my head as a ministry, but just the way I live. It has been a wonderful opportunity to engage with other people who also connect to people on a daily basis. And a little extra knowledge is always a good thing."

What if your generosity could rewrite someone’s story?

Child sponsorship creates real, lasting impact—not just for today, but for years to come.

It brings stability, opens doors, and reminds a child that their life has value and purpose.

You may never fully see the impact…
but to that child, you can mean everything.

Take the step. Be the difference.

“I get to.” A phrase that changes everything.

When facing cancer treatments, one Christian leader chose not to ask, “Why me?” Instead, he embraced a different perspective: I get to.

I get to receive treatment.
I get to experience God’s presence in new ways.
I get to be refined and strengthened.
I get to receive the love of Christian community.
I get to pray, trust, and witness to others through this season.

His testimony is a powerful reminder that even in suffering, God is at work. Trials do not diminish His faithfulness, they often reveal it more clearly.

Read this encouraging reflection, shared by Steve Jones in A Word from Steve, and consider how an “I get to” perspective might shape your own journey through challenges and uncertainty.

Ryan Kreuzer Partner (paid by another organization) Education Chaplain in Waterloo, ON shares on why he joined the Fellowship Chaplaincy family. “I became a chaplain because God gave me a heart for bringing the gospel to the next generation of post-secondary students from across Canada and around the world. A ministry of presence is so strategic when non-Christian young adults are figuring out how they will live apart from parents, and Christians are navigating a secular schooling environment. I love being connected with like-minded individuals who serve in chaplaincy, to be able to encourage and pray for each other. I also want to be connected with my local church and our Fellowship of churches, and chaplaincy enabled me to have that connection."

Every child deserves the chance to grow.

Behind every sponsorship is a child with dreams, talents, and potential waiting to be nurtured.

With the right support, those dreams can become reality.

Education. Care. Guidance. Love.
These are the seeds that change a future.

And you can be part of planting them.

EPIC+ Onside exists to provide affordable recreational programming for all families. But it doesn’t stop there, it’s also a place where kids and families can hear the Good News and learn about God.

Just last year, 4,800 kids heard the Gospel, there were 264 decisions for Christ, and 600 Bibles were distributed. 🙌

What a beautiful thing to see God’s Kingdom grow and kids coming to know Him more. Interested? Send your kids to camp—registrations are now open: https://epicandonside.ca/

Mark Howarth (Volunteer Community Chaplain in Princeton, BC) shares why he became a Fellowship Chaplain. He writes: “The reason I became a chaplain was because of the call of God on my life, my past knowledge and experience, and my complementary call to minister to the underprivileged at our local Foodbank.” Pray for Mark as he seeks to both help people in his local community and to be an extension of his local church’s ministry.
