We gather in many languages and worship
in many ways across Canada. This morning our national pastor had the honour of worshipping with Disciples in Verdun, Québec.

This week, our prayer focus is on Summerville Christian Church in Nova Scotia!

The pastor, Pastor Debbie Thibault, now leads the congregation where she was baptized as a teenager! The people of Summerville Christian Church are a wonderful example of service to others - for example, many of their members volunteer at The Community Cafe, an ecumenical initiative that offers a hot meal and social support to their neighbours.

Located at 26 Broad River Road, Summerville Centre, NS, this small congregation is a powerful testimony of continuing faith. Stop by Sundays at 9:30 AM Atlantic for in-person worship. Stay after the service for coffee or tea with your new friends!

Lord continue to bless this small but mighty congregation, that they may continue to worship and do good in their community for decades to come. Amen.

From historic buildings to rented Elks lodges,

This week, we pray for those looking for a new church home.

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want."

Let the Lord shepherd people where they belong. May He give comfort to those who fear change. May He give patience to the discomfort in new environments.

Let us prepare the table for those too hesitant to sit.

We celebrate with our fellow Disciples in Nebraska as they call Rev. Robin Blakemore as their regional minister. Among her many gifts rightfully celebrated by her region, we note with gratitude that she was a co-author of the resolution supporting Canada at the last General Assembly.
