We celebrate with the Rev. Dr. Darlene Brewer and the people of St. James United Church in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Pastor Darlene has been called to serve a six-month appointment as their next minister.

The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Canada has had a mutual recognition of ministry agreement with The United Church of Canada since 2019 and sharing our talented people across traditions is a strength to Christian unity and ministry.

Why a separate French page?

Facebook has changed the way it handles multiple languages, and when we have attempted to make bilingual posts or separate posts in each language on one page, many users saw automatically generated translations--often without knowing they were reading a computer translation--that were often grammatically incoherent. By knowing which language you are following us in, you will know you are reading what we meant to say!

But to help us remain one body of Christ across our country, even while we grow and have more and more Francophone Disciples, we encourage all who speak both languages, or who wish they understood both languages better, to consider following both our pages!

We join in support and prayer for the people of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, as they face catastrophic and deadly floods.

We have no congregations in the immediate region, but encourage those able to support our partners in the Bermuda-Nova Scotia Region of The United Church of Canada as they minister more directly to the most affected communities.

Will the men have grown more worthy and more wise over the summer months? ...to be decided! One thing is for sure, though: they'll have lots of stories to share.

Please! Help me get the word out! If you know of a guy, any age, that would like to get out of the house on a Friday from 10am-11am, enjoy some really good coffee or tea, some treats, and the best conversation around....send him our way. We'd like to have him.
