Bonnie Bolger of North Bay, ON, never set out to become a camp cook. Through years of serving at camp, she found friendship, community, purpose, and opportunities to serve others with love. Along the way, there was plenty of laughter, meaningful conversation, and the occasional kitchen disaster.

Fifteen congregations across Canada invite you to join their online services this week. Participants around the world are welcome to attend. Find the list below.

On Beyond the Walls, the global ministry of Community of Christ in Canada, we continue our exploration of Acts with the story of a believer who had been excluded from full participation in the faith. Should the church uphold inherited rules that enforce hierarchies of righteousness among people? This scripture suggests that welcoming those once considered unworthy is not new for Christians.

We often use the term “Zion” in Community of Christ, but in the 21st century, this word has become contested because of the nationalistic political movement born in the 1890s. Should we continue to use this term in our church? Here's why John Hamer thinks we should.

🎥 NOW LIVE 🎥 Acts presents an idealized picture of the early church: one heart and mind, rapid growth, all possessions held in common, and everyone’s needs satisfied. How can this vision of radical generosity guide us in the modern world? And how can a diverse community be “of one heart and mind” without imposing conformity?
Retired apostle Andrew Bolton will guide our exploration of the vision of radical generosity presented in the Book of Acts: “they would sell their possessions and goods and distribute the proceeds to all, as any had need” (Acts 2:45). This vision of sacred community has inspired generations of Christians, from medieval monastics to communitarian experiments in our own church. Join us to consider how we are being called to embody radical generosity, abolish poverty and end needless suffering, and seek unity without conformity in our own time and place.
We invite you to share this moment with our global community 🌏
