St. Peter's United Church Affirming * Inclusive * Serves community * Works for peace & justice * Respects the earth * All ages As followers of Jesus Christ, our mission at St.

Peter's United Church is to worship God, to nurture faith, to foster a caring, inclusive and affirming church family, to serve our community, to work for peace and justice, and to respect the earth.

------

We affirm that gender and sexuality are gifts of God, and that all persons are made in the image of God. We welcome people of all sexual orientations and gender identities, as part of our heed

ing the call to take action to end all forms of discrimination by which anyone is devalued on any basis. We acknowledge that the work of justice is not just about how we treat people who enter the walls of our church; what also matters is how we treat people out in our community, and in this world of which we are part. We are committed to journeying together to shape and share in a community where all people can live in justice and peace together.
