You can indeed become attached to dark forces such as resentment and hatred. As long as you seek retaliation, you cling to your own past. Sometimes it seems as though you might lose yourself along with your revenge and hate – so you stand there with balled-up fists, closed to the other who wants to heal.

Please see below a copy of our prayers for the future Life in the Spirit Seminar. We are doing daily prayers and a fast for the spiritual success of the Seminar, and hoping that all who are able can join us in this preparation

1. General Directions
i. Prayer intention every day during personal prayer time
ii. Fasting on Thursdays and Fridays from August 1 till the end of the seminar.
iii. Choose a fast of your choice (preferably abstaining from food from 6am – 12 noon if you can.
Please, if you cannot for medical or physical reasons abstain from food, choose other ways to fast

On Saturday, August 1, 2026, the first Saturday devotion will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier in Cartier. Confessions will be heard beginning at 8:30, the congregation will say a rosary and Mass begins at 9:00.

God is Right Here

Worship is coming together as a community of God to claim the presence of Christ. So we listen to the readings, we break the bread, we share the cup, we sing songs. They are all gestures in which we remind each other that no matter what we are experiencing – whether it is joy or pain or suffering – God is there. The world around us is trying to pull us away from that. It wants to say that nothing is happening here so why don't you buy this or go here or find your happiness there? The worshipping community is saying God is right here with us…. The worship life of the church over the years is bringing Christ back into the center of our lives and realizing that we as a body of people are representing the living Christ in our world.

With this in mind, you are invited to this week's prayer meeting!

This week's Mass is for anyone celebrating a birthday or an anniversary (any anniversary) this month.

We continue to pray the rosary at 5:45. This rosary is very important as it is for world peace. If you listen to the news lately, you know that there is a great need for prayer - a great need.

Confessions begin at 5:30 and end at 6:50

The first week of the month we pray for all the members of our prayer community who have passed away during the month of June.

We are planning some very special events this fall. One, is a Life in the Spirit Seminar. The main goal of this event is to help individuals move from just following religious rules to having an intimate, personal relationship with God. The seminar invites people to experience the power of the Spirit in their daily lives. It usually lasts for several weeks; there will be talks, prayer, and group discussions.

The prayer group has not had a Life in the Spirit Seminar for many years, and we ask you to pray for the success of this one. Even if it is impossible for you to attend, your prayers will join with all others and truly make us one.

Please join us this Thursday for confession beginning at 5:30, the Rosary will start at 5:45. Live and Dynamic music at 6:15 and the Mass will commence at 7:00.

This Thursday, June 11th, we are heading into the feasts of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (Friday) and the Immaculate Heart of Mary (Saturday).
