Rev. Genny from the Coniston Food Bank would like to thank Chris and Charlotte. Charlotte went trick-or-treating on Hallowe'en and collected a large amount of treats, more than she felt she needed. She decided to give her treats to the Food Bank so that the less-fortunate could have treats too. What an amazing young lady. Thank you very much both of you. Well done!

In this world of unrest and troubles, there is evidence that Miracles do exist. Just ask Reverend Canon Genny Rollins (Priest in charge, All Saints Anglican Church, Coniston).
The faithful parishioners of All Saints Anglican Church, (a small rural church in Coniston, Ontario) had their faith tested when not one but two separate sewer breaks occurred in the fall of 2024 and Spring of 2025.
Being a small church, money is always an issue. A major event like this comes with a hefty cost. As is customary in many families, to save on costs, family members of the Priest, Dennis Rollins, Hugh Riddle and Perry Rollins stepped up and the property underwent a massive dig, twice, to finally correct the problems.
But now, another hurdle. The front sidewalk and entranceway were a disaster! The “boys” showed up again to level and prepare the framing for a new sidewalk. Behind the scenes, another family member, Melanie Rollins, went to her boss and shared the dilemma of this little church. And that’s when Mr. Jeff Chisholm, General Manager of G.I.P. Interpaving Ltd, and Mr. Mark Harrison, Sudbury Plant Manager graciously decided to provide the cement as well as a finishing crew, led by Rene Beaudry, to build our new sidewalk. Unbeknownst to all of these people, we had a Wedding ceremony a few days after the sidewalk was completed. The Bride and her wedding party were able to walk, uninhibited, down our beautiful new walkway, into our church on her big day! All of our parishioners walked with pride into church the following Sunday.
As the Priest of this church, I cannot express enough my heartfelt gratitude to all the people who assisted our little church in this time of need – family members who are always ready to help me in any way and virtual strangers who showed their generosity in a big way. Never doubt that there are angels amongst us.
God bless each and every one, who cared enough about my little church, to donate hours and hours of time and labour and product to help us get back to normal.
