A heartfelt thank you to St. Kevin’s for the beautiful cake celebrating my five years of priesthood, and to Our Lady of Peace for the wonderful rendition of “Happy Anniversary” this morning.

I am very grateful for the kindness, prayers and support of both of our parish communities. It is a blessing to serve among you. God bless you all!

Today is a bit of a special day for me. Five years ago today, I was ordained a priest.

It is hard to believe five years have already passed. There have been joys, challenges and more than a few surprises along the way, but I remain deeply grateful that God called me to this life.

And I am especially grateful that, at this point in my priesthood, He has allowed me to be your priest.

Thank you for your prayers, your patience, your support and for allowing me to share in so many important moments of your lives.

Please say a little prayer for me today, that I may continue to become the priest God has called me to be.

Our livestream is more than just a camera in the church.

Each week, it allows members of our parish family who are sick, homebound, travelling or otherwise unable to be with us in person to remain connected to the prayer of our community.

Of course, watching Mass online is never quite the same as actually being here - gathered together around the altar and receiving the Eucharist. But when someone truly cannot come, I am grateful that technology gives us a way to bring a little piece of their parish home to them.

And to everyone who joins us online each week, know that you are remembered and prayed for. You are still very much part of our parish family.

Today we said a very fond farewell to Leona, who is moving and sang with us for the last time today.

Leona has blessed our parish with her beautiful voice and, even more importantly, with the generosity and joy she has brought to our choir and our community. We are going to miss hearing her sing with us each Sunday.

Of course, no proper Catholic farewell is complete without cake! 😊

Leona, thank you for sharing your gift with us. May God bless you abundantly in this new chapter, and remember - you will always have a home here at St. Kevin’s.

What a joyful day as we celebrated the Baptism of Myla and welcomed her into the family of the Church!

May the grace she received today continue to grow throughout her life, and may she always know how deeply she is loved by God and surrounded by the prayers of her family and parish community.

Congratulations to Myla and her whole family on this beautiful day of faith and new life in Christ. God bless you always!

What a beautiful day as we welcomed Mikai into the family of God through the Sacrament of Baptism.

Today, surrounded by family and those who love him, Mikai was claimed for Christ, washed in the waters of Baptism and began a new life as a beloved child of God.

May the faith planted in his heart today continue to grow throughout his life, and may he always know how deeply he is loved by God and by the Church.

Congratulations to Larry and Isobel, who celebrated the Sacrament of Marriage today at Our Lady of Peace.

It was a joy to witness the promises they made before God and before those who love them. May the Lord bless their life together, deepen their love through the years and give them the grace to walk faithfully beside one another in all that lies ahead.

Volunteers are the heart of every parish community.

So much of what happens in our church happens because someone quietly says, “I can help.” Whether you serve at Mass, make coffee, clean, decorate, teach, organize, visit, repair, count, cook or simply lend a hand when it is needed, please know how deeply appreciated you are.

We may not always say thank you enough, but your generosity makes a real difference.

Volunteers are always needed and forever appreciated. Thank you for sharing your time and gifts with our parish family.

Today I had the joy of celebrating the wedding of Chris and Jenny. There is something beautiful about standing before God, surrounded by the people you love, and promising to walk through life together - in the good days, the difficult days and all the ordinary days in between.

May the Lord bless their marriage, keep them close to one another and always remind them that they never walk this journey alone. Congratulations, Chris and Jenny. May God give you many happy years together. ❤️
