Delicious Donuts are back tomorrow, Sunday, October 25! Our Rise Up Bolivia missions team will be selling donuts after the service to help raise money to provide for specific needs for people in Bolivia.
Please keep praying for our brothers and sisters in Bolivia as they serve people in their communities. To learn more about the need there, tune in to the 10am service on the 25th or come chat with the team tomorrow morning.

Help us raise funds for an AED!

At CFA, we care deeply for both the well-being of our church family and the wider community who share our church home for events and gatherings. With the hospital moving, emergency response times have increased and an AED can deliver a lifesaving shock when it’s needed most - giving a heart a chance to beat again.

In Canada, there can be up to 60,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests each year. When cardiac arrest happens, every second matters.

We want to be prepared when seconds count.

Too many times we try to either accomplish things on our own, or we need to make sure we are comfortable, our houses, vehicles, finances, food, etc. but how often do we find ourselves wanting more?

We can get wrapped up in greed and worry. Jesus teaches us that ultimatley it is God that we need to rely on for everything... and He thinks of details that far surpass what we can obsess over. Pastor Glenn reminded us this past Sunday of these teachings.

We, as the CFA church family, have a wonderful opportunity to serve and show Jesus' love to students at NWP through the Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship on campus!
They have asked if anyone in our church is interested in making (or helping to make) a supper for 10-15 people attending Alpha this Fall.
This would be a one-time thing for each of the 3 dates below, with expenses covered by the church as needed.
If you can't prepare the whole meal, would you be willing to do a main, a salad, or a dessert and share the work of each meal?
Here are the dates meals are needed:
• September 29th (this one may be covered already)
• October 27th
• December 1st
Please let us know at the office if you are able to prepare a whole meal or help with one. For more info, please contact us as well.

Taste of Home potluck is THIS SUNDAY, September 6! We are so excited to see you!

Not sure what to bring?

Bring a favourite food from your culture or background that reminds you of home - enough to share with at least 6 people. Drop it off in the kitchen and fill out a description card when you get here.

Bring lawn chairs if you have them, as we have limited seating available.

Bring yourself (and your family/friends if you have them here), join in the service and, afterwards, enjoy the delicious food together as a CFA church family!

Jesus is inviting you closer.

Not because you have the right words.
Not because you’ve got it all together.
Not because you’ve earned your way into His presence.

Just come.

Come with your questions.
Come with your needs.
Come with your hopes.
Come with your disappointments.

Come with shameless audacity.

Jesus welcomes bold prayers. Persistent prayers. Honest prayers. The kind of prayers that refuse to give up because we know Who we’re coming to.

So don’t just watch this Reel.
Engage with Jesus.

Pause.
Pray.
Ask.
Listen.
Come boldly.

What if the problem isn’t that we don’t pray… but that we’ve forgotten why we pray?

When Jesus taught His disciples to pray, He wasn’t simply giving them words to memorize. He was inviting them into relationship.

“Our Father…” isn’t just the beginning of a familiar prayer. It’s a reminder of who we’re talking to — a Father who knows us, cares for us, and wants us to come close.

It’s easy for prayer to become routine. Words we say. A box we check. Something we do because we know we should.

But what if we slowed down enough to actually think about what we’re saying — and Who we’re saying it to?

Maybe the question isn’t just, “Do I pray?”

Maybe it’s, “Do I remember why?”
