Calling all gardeners! The Grand Manan Food Bank "Grow a Row" initiative is now a GO.
If you are able to "Grow a Row" of vegetable for the Food Bank, we will provide the seed or seedlings to you FREE of charge.
Find us at the Community Market and Thrifty's on Saturday, May 16th to pick up the seeds and/ or seedlings. If you are unable to pick up on May 16th, pickup can be done at the Village Office starting May 19th.

Did you miss our last free tax clinic? Don't worry, we have another clinic happening on Wednesday, April 1st at the Grand Manan Library from 5:00pm-7:30pm. If you have simple taxes to be done, drop in anytime with your tax information. No appointment needed,

Cooke Aquaculture is hosting a Christmas Food Drive this Wednesday, November 5th at 1212 Route 776 (Old Grand Harbour Wesleyan Church) from 5:30pm- 6:30 pm. All donations will go to our local Grand Manan Food Bank.

In August the Food Bank had the most clients ever, with serving 65 households in the month. Before this month, the highest record of households served was 55 in October 2024. Thank you to all the volunteers for helping serve the clients and to the Independent Grocers staff and the community for providing donations to help us be able to serve the clients and provide the food that we do.

Although school just got out, it is never too early to plan ahead for school supplies. Action Ministries and the Grand Isle are teaming up to help families in need with school supplies. If you need help purchasing school supplies for the upcoming school year or know of someone who may need some financial assistance, please message us on here or text us at 1-506-800-1284. We will also help with the purchase of school shoes.
The cost of school supplies are:
K-2: $44.99
3-5: $89.99
6-8: $ 79.99
9-12: $74.99
