Cathedral Catechism Program The place to learn what's going on in the grade 1-6 catechism programs at Immaculate Conception Cathedral Parish, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL

Starting in the Fall of 2015 we began offering a new catechical program for children of the parish. The program was phased in over several years beginning with the youngest of our parishioners - those in grade 1 (and maybe grade 2). We wanted this to be a sustainable program is so we went slowly to ensure success. The program we use is Finding God, distributed by Loyola Press. Please support the p

Our Story

Starting in the Fall of 2015, we began offering a new catechical program for children of the parish. The program was phased in over the several years beginning with the youngest of our parishioners - those in grade 1 and grade 2. We wanted this to be a sustainable program so we began slowly to ensure success and have now progressed to add up to grade 6. The program we use is Finding God, distributed by Loyola Press. Please support the program by liking this page, bringing your child/grandchild to the program and attending Mass every Sunday. We also welcome volunteers whole heartedly. This program only works with the help of parents, friends and other interested individuals.

In 2019, we will begin working with our friends and fellow catechists from our sister parish, St. Joseph’s Parish, to offer the program to the children of both parishes together. This is a natural progression as we share an administrator and the students attend school, are on teams and participate in activities together already. We at the Cathedral are very excited to share and grow together.
