Due to the current energy crisis and power emergency in Newfoundland and Labrador, along with the present weather conditions, Birchy Head Pentecostal Church will be cancelling our in-person service tomorrow, Sunday, January 25.

NL Hydro and Newfoundland Power have issued a Power Warning, with the potential for rotating power outages lasting up to 60 minutes. With windchill temperatures near −25°C, maintaining a safe and comfortable environment would require significant use of electricity. At this time, we feel it is most responsible to reduce usage in cooperation with the province’s request.

Out of care for our church family and community, we believe this is the wisest decision.

Please stay safe and warm, and we encourage you to worship God from home tomorrow.
