Today is Jerusalem and the Holy Land Sunday.

Let us pray,

“I’ll go with you”, Jesus says.

“Into that conversation with your boss.

In the counselor’s office with your spouse.

In your child’s bedroom to talk about what you haven’t yet found the words to say.”

“I’ll be right next to you”, he says, “when you go into that appointment and get that phone call.

In your grief, when you feel like no one else gets it, I’m there.

Even in your anger at me, I’m listening, closer than you know.

There is not a single place, circumstance, or situation you will enter that I will be void of.

I know your stomach twist in knots thinking about it, and I know you can’t see what I can see from my view.

But when you picture it, picture me beside you.

And all you need to know now is that I will go with you.

I know what you need.”
