- 9/11 25th Anniversary information…
reflecting on 9/11 and The Salvation Army's response - Please see attached poster.

This event is supported by the Divisional Public Relations Department and the Emergency Disaster Team. We will have the EDS trucks on the parking lot passing out water and prepackaged snacks. In the multipurpose room, there will be a display of pictures, letters, newspaper clippings and video clips. We are seeking volunteers to help us on these days for 2-hour shifts. If you would like to volunteer, please email or call Major Lisa.

-Food Bank Item of the Month
Our Food Bank Item of the month for September is teabags.
If you would like to support our food bank, you can bring along the Item of the Month and place it in the bin provided in the foyer. Thank you so much for your generosity and for helping support those in our community who are in need!

Have you ever looked at the way someone else serves God and wondered if you need to be more like them to be useful?

I have.🤚

I need to speak as boldly as they do.
Know as much as they know.
Have a testimony as powerful as theirs.
Make an impact as visible as theirs.

Saul’s armor may have looked like the right equipment for battle, but it wasn’t made for David!

David had to put it down and walk forward with what God had already placed in his hands.🤲

There’s a lesson in that for us!

God doesn’t need a second version of someone else.🚫

He knows YOUR personality, YOUR experiences, YOUR limitations, and YOUR gifts - 🗣️ and none of those things disqualify you from what He has called YOU to do.

This doesn’t mean we never grow, learn from others, or allow God to stretch us.

It means growth shouldn’t require pretending to be someone we’re not.

You don’t have to copy someone else’s voice to speak truth.
You don’t need their platform to make an impact.
You don’t need their story for God to use yours.

Be teachable. Be willing. Be faithful.

Then trust that the same God who called you knows exactly how He created you. 🤎✝️🙏

Remembering 911.

As we approach this week, we are mindful of the heaviness that comes with commemorating September 11, 2001.

As a Corps, Gander Citadel will provide opportunities for reflection, remembrance, and connection as we honour those whose lives were forever changed.

Please see the details below for our September 10th and 11th events at the Citadel on Airport Blvd. Everyone is welcome to come, pause, reflect, and remember with us.

Sunday, September 13th
Our Worship Service will begin at 10:30 AM and will include a special focus on September 11 and its lasting impact.
