What Jesus Christ Means to Us

When we accept Jesus Christ’s help we can feel peace in this life and return to Heavenly Father after we die. God is our Heavenly Father, and like any parent He wants us, His children, to be happy. In the scriptures, He teaches "my work and my glory [is] to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man" (Moses 1:39). Eternal life means to live in heaven, in H

is presence, with our families, forever. God has given us commandments, which teach us what is right and wrong and chart a way through life that will offer the greatest happiness. Jesus Christ taught, "If ye love me, keep my commandments" (John 14:15). But the scriptures also teach that "no unclean thing can dwell with God" (1 Nephi 10:21). As hard as we try to live good lives, we all sin, so how can we live in God’s perfect kingdom if we are imperfect? God sent Jesus Christ to earth to give us a way to overcome our sins and imperfections. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16).

We had a wonderful opportunity to meet with two fantastic people: Sarah Ekstrom and Paul MacLean. These are two people that you would love to meet. They are people who have welcomed the missionaries and also cooked us a delicious meal! We hope to continue to help them come unto Christ. We invite everyone to follow their example and be friendly and kind to everyone without conditions!

Alma 32:28, "Now, we will compare the word unto a seed. Now, if ye give place, that a seed may be planted in your heart, behold, if it be a true seed, or a good seed, if ye do not cast it out by your unbelief, that ye will resist the Spirit of the Lord, behold, it will begin to swell within your breasts; and when you feel these swelling motions, ye will begin to say within yourselves—It must needs be that this is a good seed, or that the word is good, for it beginneth to enlarge my soul; yea, it beginneth to enlighten my understanding, yea, it beginneth to be delicious to me."
