Pioneer girls-Marysville Baptist Church

After much discussion and prayer, we have made the hard decision that we are not going to be able to offer Pioneer Girls as a weekly program any longer.
Covid-19 shut us down for a time, but there are several other factors that have led us to the decision. After so many decades of this thriving girls' group on Wednesday evenings, it is time.

"We have thoroughly enjoyed every single evening with your girls and with the girls and leaders over so many years, and I feel a grieving of this season of closing.
I personally wish to thank ALL of the volunteer leaders who gave so much of themselves, many of whom were serving way back before I came to this church in 1980. Such a legacy of love for children in our community, and concern for the spiritual health of every child who attended and family that were represented.
I also want to thank all of you parents who were so supportive and faithful to get your girls to Pioneer clubs each week. May you know that we love you and care for your families.
God bless you all as we start off a new school year. I hope to be able to keep up with a lot of you on FB, to know how you are doing.

Feeling a little lost today, As this would've been start night for Pioneer Girls.
Good news, though, is that MBC Youth is starting this evening, so girls (and boys) in grades 6-12 can get started on a great year.
Leader Larissa is moving to youth group this year, so the grade 6 girls will be able to hang out with her....she's so fun and cares about you all!

I want to thank you all for coming to the awards celebration this evening. It was wonderful to see everyone and have a little time with you. We're sad that we're not having Club this year. A few of us are retiring too, so I'll say that we treasure the memories that we made with your girls.
Have a great school year, and we'll pray for you. This page will still be open, feel free to contact us with any questions or needs.

THIS WEDNESDAY at 6:30 at the church.
We are getting ready to celebrate with your girl. They have all achieved so much, even though we only got to March in our year. They all have some badges earned, and certificates to get! WOW!
This will be a fairly simple OUTSIDE affair, where the girls will step up the the table where their leaders will be, say hello and receive their awards and books. Girls who finished grades 5&6 will be especially honoured.
We will be there to answer questions, make lots of noise, share a treat.
Congratulations, girls! See you on Wednesday :)

Especially wanted to note this for our Pioneer girls who are starting Grade 6 this year....

We are Kicking Off MBC YOUTH on WEDNESDAY Nights - starting September 16th from 6:30 - 8:10PM!🙌🙌
As the FALL progresses - we will be moving from a “Passive” experience to an “Active” experience by offering 4 Training Modules: Music; Technology; Drama; Sports/Games which will be utilized directly in our Youth program.👌
👉This will be unique to MBC and our mission to Equip and Release our students into our community to be a positive impact! 🙏

👉Program Run Time: 100 mins

👉COVID Registration, Hand Sanitization & Check-in: 6:15 - 6:30 (lobby)
👉Social & Game Time: 6:30 - 7:00
👉Gathering: Worship Music & Big Idea: 7:00 - 7:30
👉Small Group Discussion: 7:30 - 7:45
👉Social Time: 7:45 - 8:10 (with Canteen available)

It's time!
We're going to celebrate the achievements all of your girls accomplished in Pioneer Girls this past year.
Wednesday September 2, at 6:30 at Marysville Baptist Church.
We will have a few more details later, but you'll want to save the date.

Hello Pioneer family.

We are planning to have a celebration for the girls to receive the badges and certificates they should have gotten in May. We are just waiting for the badges to arrive from Pioneers USA. Then we will let you know when this fun outdoor evening will be!

Sadly, we have decided that we will not be able to run Pioneers this year; that we will postpone until Fall of 2021. We do hope and pray, though, that we can have a couple of fun events with your girls during the year.

We will be keeping this FB page open, and will be checking for messages on a regular basis. If you have any thoughts, questions that you or your girls may have about Jesus, the Bible and such, we will do our best to track down the answers for you. Same- if you or your family would like us to pray for you in some circumstance, we will be happy to hear from you about that.

I guess what I am trying to say is that we continue to be a group and look forward to keeping in touch with you and yours!
