We are deeply saddened by the passing of Rev. H.M. Lewis, our former Atlantic District Superintendent. As a district, we have been immensely impacted by his strong leadership and want to honour the great legacy that he has left behind. As superintendent, he was a firm guiding hand, a consistent voice, and a loving mentor to everyone he served. His life was beautifully devoted to the ministry for over 60 years, including pastoring multiple churches, supporting during pastoral transitions, and assisting with the educating and equipping of young ministers through avenues such as Northeast Christian College. We are incredibly thankful for his lasting impact on the Atlantic District.

Some of the offices that Rev. H.M. Lewis held within the Atlantic District UPC include:

Youth Secretary: 1963-65, 1967-69
Youth President:1971-75
Presbyter: 1975-82, 1993-94
Superintendent: 1994-2000, 2005-2009
Honorary Board Member: 2010 until his passing

EQUIP Conference 2026 is coming up this November 13-14 in Perth Andover, NB. We are excited to have Rev. Jeffrey and Tami Harpole with us for sessions focused on Church Leadership.

We often think of miracles as God suspending natural order, however, He created humanity whole and miracles are God restoring natural order.

What a phenomenal final service of Atlantic Camp 2026 last night — we look forward to hearing about miracles that have happened all over our district! We have a great need for the supernatural!
