Back to School Campaign – St. Patrick’s Church Update

A heartfelt thank you to the parishioners of St. Patrick’s Church for their generous support of Stanley’s Just Friends Food Bank. Thanks to your kindness, backpacks, lunch boxes, and a variety of school essentials were collected, along with $200.00 to help children return to school with the supplies they need.

Your generosity makes a meaningful difference to local families. Please continue to keep these families, and all those who support them, in your prayers.

“There is no footprint so small that it does not leave an imprint on this world.”

Today, Fr. Maria blessed the new Butterfly Garden at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, with parishioners gathered in prayer and remembrance.

Located in the middle section of the cemetery behind the Crucifix, the Butterfly Garden is a dedicated space to remember and memorialize pregnancy, infant, and child loss. Designed as a tranquil place for reflection and prayer, the garden includes butterflies on stakes that may be placed around the monument in memory of unborn children.

Our heartfelt thanks to the dedicated St. Anthony’s Cemetery volunteers who worked to make this beautiful garden a reality. We are also grateful to the Knights of Columbus Council 8654 for providing the monument for the garden.

May this sacred space offer comfort, peace, and a place of remembrance to all who visit.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated items to help Greener Village with their mission to ensure that all children can go back to school with confidence, knowing they have the supplies they need.

Thanks to your generosity, we were able to collect:
• 41 backpacks
• 36 lunch boxes
• 23 water bottles
• 85 packages of pens and pencils
• 106 packages of crayons and pencil crayons
• 27 packages of markers and highlighters
• 51 packages of loose-leaf paper
• 120 notebooks
• And numerous rulers, erasers, glue, pencil cases, boxes of tissues, calculators, tape, construction paper, geometry sets, and snack items.

In total, more than 500 items were collected and delivered!

Greener Village was extremely appreciative of this generous donation, collected at St. Theresa’s and St. Anthony’s churches over the past few weeks.

This truly shows that, regardless of our individual ability to give, many small acts of kindness can come together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.

Please continue to keep these families, and the people who support them, in your prayers.
