Pilgrimage to Saint Francis of Assisi Shrine Sunday at Skiff Lake (Saint John the Baptist Parish).

Annual Shrine Sunday takes place on the second Sunday of August (August 9th) at Skiff Lake.

This year marks the 800th Anniversary of Saint Francis of Assisi’s death and has been designated as a ‘Jubilee Year of Saint Francis’.

As we celebrate the Jubilee Year of St. Francis of Assisi, we recall that Pope Francis chose his name in honor of this saint upon his election as Bishop of Rome. In his encyclical Laudato Si’, Pope
Francis reflected on St. Francis, “he was a mystic and a pilgrim who lived in simplicity and in wonderful harmony with God, with
others, with nature and with himself.

He shows us the inseparable bond between concern for nature, justice for the poor, commitment to Society and interior peace.”
Take a peaceful break from your busy schedule to refresh your spirit in community. This special time features Mass, Rosary prayer, and a dedicated healing service.

SIGN-UP NOW!
Arrangements have been made to provide bus transportation to the Shrine at no charge to participants. The sign-up sheet in
