This past week we completed our second post-pandemic Vacation Bible School. We were so blessed to have a wonderful group of kids and youth volunteers together for lots of fun, learning, and community building!

Under the theme of "All God's Critters" we had special presentations like one about Braille, a meet and greet with a therapy dog in training, a puppet show about 5 different types of animals becoming a family, and the Godly Play Story of Creation at Christ Church Cathedral Hall. We attended the Calithumpian's show about the history of City Hall, and enjoyed some time painting at the Clay Cafe as well!

We also had fun around our church learning about the organ and ringing our bell. Favourite activities of the week included: tie-dying our VBS shirts, beading, singing, and crafts galore! One of our friends even depicted the history of Wilmot's former steeple on our VBS banner... the left depiction shows the steeple and hand X'd out (because it was taken down,) and the right depiction shows it being struck by lightening, which happened twice!

Thanks to all of the families, volunteers, and special guests who made VBS 2026 possible!

Join us for an evening of crafting (knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, etc.) and Bible Study!

This is the first of an ongoing monthly Bible Study at Wilmot United Church where we dive into the teaching of Jesus while working on any ongoing craft projects!

You don't have to be crafting to join, you can join just for the discussion. You also don't have to discuss if you don't want to, you can simply enjoy the community while working on your project!

We will be joined by Peter Short in discussing Andres Serrano's controversial 1987 photograph 'P**s Christ' (Immersions), and referencing how Jesus modeled anger in the Bible.

Craft supplies will not be provided, you're invited to bring your own.
