In worship on Sunday, June 7, we will continue our journey into Right Relations with Indigenous Peoples.

Percy Sacobie, a well-known and highly respected Indigenous artist, will provide a reflection on Indigenous culture and his 25 years as a multidisciplinary artist. You may have seen his work in various galleries and venues. If you have flown out of the Fredericton Airport, you certainly will have seen his magnificent mural in the Departure Lounge.

This will be a wonderful opportunity to expand our understanding of Indigenous culture and art.

Our weekly peer support group meetings are open to anyone in the local community. We offer an inclusive, non-judgmental atmosphere for all participants.

We now offer our peer support groups at two locations - the Oak Centre Café and Wilmot United Church!

Peer support is a way of relating to someone through shared humanity and core commonalities with the goal of offering and/or receiving support. The peer support group is a judgment-free zone that enables individuals to feel heard and understood among others who are going through or have gone through similar experiences.

Topics include mental health, addictions, homelessness, grief and loss, and more.

We also offer one-on-one peer support by appointment.

If you or someone you know would like more information about our weekly peer support group meetings or one-on-one peer support, please contact Will at (506) 429-3854 [email protected], or Donald at (506) 429-8457 [email protected].

The John Howard Society of Fredericton supports all members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.

We will be looking at the controversial topic of healthy and unhealthy masculinity. Russ’ sermon title is ‘Masculinity, Can’t Live With It … Pass the Beer Nuts.’ We’ll be exploring the ways Jesus broke the model of masculinity in his time to see what resonates today. Also, there will be a special performance of an Ashley MacIsaac song you probably don't know.
