Have you ever poured 100% of your sweat, passion, and energy into a goal, a job, a target or a season, only to find yourself holding completely empty nets by the end of the week?
When all our best plans fall flat, the project stalls, or our hardest efforts go unnoticed, it’s easy to believe one of the enemy's lie, “I’m only as valuable as what I produce.”
In Luke 5, Peter and his crew were exhausted after working all night and catching nothing. When Jesus told them to drop their nets into the deep, they pulled in the greatest haul of their lives, and then left every single fish on the shore to follow Him.
Why? Because it was never about the fish.
It was about stepping out of the exhausting mindset of a striving, anxious hired hand and resting in the secure identity of a beloved son and daughter.
When your identity is anchored in Christ:
An empty season no longer steals your peace or defines your worth.
The people around you stop being obstacles, competitors, or tasks, they become souls to love and serve.
You stop trying to manufacture the outcome in your own strength and trust the Father who provides.
