As we begin Catholic Education Week, October 17–23, we give thanks for the gift of Catholic education and for the many ways God is at work in our school communities.

This year’s theme, “The Power of the Holy Spirit,” invites us to reflect on the Holy Spirit’s presence in our daily lives, guiding us in faith, strengthening us in hope, and inspiring us to love and serve one another.

The Catholic Bishops of Alberta, the Northwest Territories, and Yukon have shared a pastoral letter inviting us to reflect more deeply on the mission and blessing of Catholic education, and on our shared responsibility to nurture the faith of the next generation.
