Maybe our lives are smaller than we expected… but we are seen.
Maybe we are not accepted or acceptable… but we are chosen.
Maybe we are grief stricken, lost, confused…but we are remembered.
Maybe we have made mistakes, or struggle to understand ourselves…but we are known.
We looked at some stories together this morning - they tell us deep and important things, both about who our Lord is and about His heart and value for women. The women that we see throughout Scripture - their examples and their stories are for ALL of us - they show a calling, an equipping, choices and actions that come as a response to this life changing, earth shattering, culture defying value that God places on ALL people.
So today, on this day of many layers, lots of emotions and lots of messages about what it means to be a mother, a woman, a person… let Jesus be the one to tell you.
Let him remind you that you are seen. You are chosen. You are remembered. You are known.
On the days when you question your worth, or wonder about your purpose look to Him. Trust Him to tell you. To show you.
Expect that God will meet you in the middle of your struggles and your celebrations - just as He did for women all throughout Scripture.
And for all of us - let us be asking God what part we are to play in that telling. How are we being called to be the hands and feet and voice of Jesus reminding each other, reminding the women and the men in our lives that they are seen. And chosen. And remembered. And known.
