We had a smaller group than normal but we enjoyed creating our cute mummies. During our devotion, we heard the story of Lazarus from John 11. Not only did Jesus make Lazarus come alive again, He also breathes new life into us as followers.
In verse 44, Jesus told the people surrounding Lazarus to “untie him…and let him go free”. He wanted the people around him to share in the task of lifting the bindings of his grave clothes. We as people need to be with others that will surround us with empathy, help us cast off our tightly bound layers and support us as we walk through this often difficult journey called life. Craft nights are a small way to gather and share as we create bonds that refresh and lift us rather than hold us back.
