👀 Day 4 – Prayer & Fasting | January 15, 2026
Theme: Pay Attention
Today we are reminded that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but spiritual. As we continue to pray and fast, let us stay alert, discerning, and focused—placing the battle in the hands of the One who has already won.
Let us be intentional in prayer today—guarding our hearts, sharpening our discernment, and standing firm in unity as we press on together. 🙏
Pay Attention
Bible Verse:
Ephesians 6:12 “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this age, against spiritual host of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
Prayer Guide:
Lord give us a prayer which reaches into spiritual realm and places the battle into the hands of the “One” who has already won the battle. May you increase our discerning of spirits that we should be alert and prayerful, paying attention to when the enemy is behind the attack. Help us not to waste time fighting against people, ourselves, but help us to realize that we are fighting against the enemy itself. Help us to pray on the following core areas of attack by the enemy.
• Our Passion – Colossians 3:22; Galatians 5:24; Romans 12:11; Psalm 84:2; Psalm 63:1
Help us not to dim our passion for the things of God, not to give up our interest in spiritual things, not to lessen our belief in God’s ability and his personal concern for us, and we should never be convinced that the hope we have lost is never coming back. Help us to pay attention and be prayerful, when the enemy is attacking our passion, like when we are cutting short our time with God and started to feel distracted and off-guard, finding pleasure elsewhere and our desire to spend time to God start to die.
• Our Focus – Colossians 3:2; Philippians 4:8; Matthew 6:33; Proverbs 4:25; Hebrews 12:2; Philippians 3:13-14.
Help us not to be deceived by the enemy by attacking our focus by means of disguising himself and manipulating our perspective so that we focus on the wrong culprit i.e. our spouse, children, friend, co-worker, our hurt, our finances, anyone or anything except the enemy. Help us not to focus on flesh and blood that wear us down, weakened our witness that hinder our prayer life and our relationship with God. Help us to be alert, discerning and prayerful to be aware of the devil’s scheme.
• Our Identity – Genesis 1:27; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 2:10,19; 1 Peter 2:9; John 1:12; Psalm 139:13-14; Jeremiah 29:11; Galatians 2:20; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Let not the enemy devalue our strength and magnify our insecurities by dominating us on how we see ourselves, disabling and disarming us from fighting back from being free, from being who God has created us to be. Help us not to doubt the power of God within us and what God has given us. Help us to know our place as a child of God when we start to experience insecurity, inferiority, comparing ourselves to others, when we start to identify our worth in what we do, and not who we are as a child of God. Help us to realize that our worth is not in our performance but literally in our positioning in Jesus Christ.
• Our Family – Matthew 10:34-36; Proverbs 15:1; James 1:19; Ephesians 4:31-32; 6:1-3
Protection for our family from the works and attacks of the enemy who seek to disintegrate and destroy every member of it. Let not the enemy tear away trust and unity and turn anyone’s love inward on themselves (selfishness). Let no family experience division and offense to rise due to petty arguments in each member of the family. Let there be unity in every family. Satan knows that there is power where there is unity.
• Our Past – Isaiah 43:18-19; Philippians 3:13-14; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Hebrews 10:17; Psalm 103:12
Don’t let the enemy to constantly remind you of your past mistakes or poor choices, to keep you burdened by shame and guilt that you feel you failed, and you’ve had your chance and you’ve blown it, and see no point of even trying again. Help us not to feel condemned to the point where we feel we cannot come to God. Give us courage to confess our sins and pray for cleansing and repent so we will be forgiven and stand in the liberty and freedom God has given us.
• Our Fears – 1 Peter 5:7; Psalm 55:2; 1John 4:18; Isaiah 41:10
Help us not to let our fears be magnified making them appear to be too great to overcome. We pray for sound mind, free of anxiety that paralyze us leaving us indecisive, clinging to safety and always on the defensive on what might happen. May You remove worry that make us to feel overly worried and anxious, not receiving peace. Help us to use our authority to cast down the spirit of fear, worries, cares, anxieties and put our trust only in You.
• Our Purity – Romans 12:2; Psalm 51:10-12; Psalm 119:9-11; Philippians 4:8; Matthew 5:8
Let God protect our mind that no dark thoughts take root in them. That we continue yielding to the power and self-control that the Holy Spirit has given us. Let the Holy Spirit shield our body, mind, and spirit when the enemy is attacking our purity, attacking with fornication, drunkenness, adultery, and anything that will lead us to sexual immorality, or some type of impurity that compromise our morals. Let God create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit within us and give us a pure heart that hides His Word so we will not sin against God.
• Our Pressures – Philippians 4:6-7; Isaiah 40:31; Matthew 6;34; Proverbs 3:5-6; Psalm 55:2; 2 Corinthians 12:9
Help us not to get caught up with our duties, busyness, and pressures that demand most of our time to the point that we are already side tracked to what we are supposed to be doing i.e. living a life devoted to God and living a life that serves as a positive example to others. Let not the enemy be wearing us down when we get to the time that we become so busy and cannot hear the voice of God. Help us to be intentional in doing the things of God and ask God’s help for us to realize what is a priority and what is not.
• Our Hurts – Romans 12:2; Ephesians 4:32; Psalm 34:18; 2 Corinthians 1:3-4; Colossians 3:13
Help us not to bring old wounds to us, as well as the people, events, and circumstances that caused our hurts. Don’t let the enemy put us in bo***ge of unforgiveness that negatively affects our prayer. We pray for the renewing of our minds.
• Our Relationships – John 13:34; Proverbs 27:17; 1 John 4:7; Ephesians 4:2-3; Proverbs 27:17; 1 Peter 4:8; Colossians 3:13; 1 Thessalonians 5:11
Help us to preserve every relationship that we have in the Body of Christ because God want to bless us even through people. Help us to be sensitive and pray when we start seeing discord, slander, and gossip among the Body of Christ and help us not to entertain those things. Help us to be in prayer about those things and do not be part of the problem.
