As we gather together this weekend for the 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time, we warmly welcome you to our celebration of Mass. Whether you are a familiar face or joining us for the first time, we are grateful that you are here. May this time together renew your faith and draw your heart closer to God.
First Reading: Isaiah 5:1-7
Isaiah speaks to us through the beautiful image of a vineyard that has been carefully planted and lovingly tended by God. We are reminded of how much God has given us and are invited to consider the “fruit” our own lives are producing - fruit of love, justice, compassion and faithfulness.
Second Reading: Philippians 4:6-9
St. Paul offers us words of comfort and encouragement: bring our worries and concerns to God in prayer, with thanksgiving. When we place our trust in Him and focus our hearts on what is good, true and worthy, God’s peace can remain with us.
Gospel: Matthew 21:33-43
Jesus tells the parable of the vineyard and its tenants, reminding us that everything we have is ultimately entrusted to us by God. We are called not only to receive His gifts, but to care for them faithfully and to bear good fruit through the way we live, love and serve others.
As we come together around the Lord’s table, may we open our hearts to His Word, receive His peace, and ask ourselves: What kind of fruit am I bearing for God?
May God bless you and your families, and may you have a beautiful and grace-filled weekend.
