Gentle Shepherd Community Church - Grey County is a community of evangelical believers whose mission is to make disciples/apprentices of Jesus Christ.

We are located north east of Flesherton, just south of the village of Eugenia. Sunday worship services held weekly at 10:30am.

A Wednesday Reminder for Us-

In the middle of a busy week, it’s easy to get caught up in all the things we need to do, the responsibilities we carry, and the worries that can weigh on our hearts.

But today, let’s take a moment to pause and remember that we don’t have to carry it all on our own. The same God who holds the changing seasons in His hands is holding us, too. His promises remain true, His love never fails, and His grace is sufficient for each new day.

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
— 1 Peter 5:7

Whatever this week holds for you, may you find peace in His presence and strength in His promises.

Happy Monday, Church Family!

This weekend we enjoyed a quick trip to Niagara to take our eldest back to university after reading week. We also had the opportunity to visit the church she’s been attending and spend time with family there. Thankfully, I was able to catch Pastor Gerald’s message online!

This week’s message, The Spiritual Laws of Seedtime – Part 2, reminded us from Galatians 6:7–10 that we are called to keep sowing seeds of faith, even when we cannot yet see the harvest.

As Pastor Gerald reminded us, weariness often comes between seedtime and harvest. We may not always see the results of our prayers, love, and encouragement, but God is at work! Our job is to remain faithful, trust His timing, and never give up.

This week, ask yourself: What field has God assigned to me? Where am I growing weary? What needs cultivation? Where is the harvest ready?

May we continue to sow generously, love faithfully, and trust God for the increase.

“Here I am, Lord, send me.”

Seasons change, but God never does.

As the leaves change colour, the days grow shorter, and we find ourselves walking through seasons of change in our own lives, it’s comforting to remember that there is One who remains the same.

The world around us may feel uncertain. Plans change, circumstances shift, and what once felt familiar can suddenly look very different. But through it all, God’s Word remains true, His promises remain steadfast, and His faithfulness never fades.

Isaiah 40:8 reminds us:

“The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.”— Isaiah 40:8 (KJV)

What a beautiful reminder that while everything around us is temporary, God is our constant. We can trust Him in the changing seasons, in the uncertain moments, and in the days when we don’t know what lies ahead.

The seasons will change. The world will change. But God is still God, and His Word stands forever.

May we find peace in that truth today. ❤️

Happy Tuesday, Church Family!

It feels a little strange writing our weekly update on a Tuesday instead of Monday! I think a long weekend has a way of making us lose track of what day it is! I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend and had opportunities to spend time with family and reflect on the many blessings God has given us.

This past Sunday, Pastor Gerald shared a message entitled “Thanksgiving on the Wall,” from Nehemiah 12. We were reminded that thanksgiving is more than simply saying thank you to God. It means remembering His faithfulness, offering Him our hearts, dedicating our blessings to Him, and sharing His goodness with others.

One of the most powerful reminders was that "thanksgiving is contagious, but complaining is contagious too!" So, what are we spreading to those around us?

We were challenged this week to remember five ways God has been faithful, repent of complaining, rededicate our lives and blessings to Him, rejoice while we wait, and share a testimony of His goodness.

May we be intentional about recognizing God's faithfulness, even in the difficult seasons, and remember that others are watching how we live out our faith. You never know who might be encouraged by your praise!

🍂 Happy Thanksgiving Monday from Gentle Shepherd Community Church! 🍂

Today, as many gather with family and friends, share meals, and enjoy the blessings around us, may we take a moment to pause and give thanks to the One from whom all blessings flow.

Even in the midst of busy days, unexpected challenges, and seasons when life feels overwhelming, there is always something to be thankful for. Sometimes it’s the big blessings we celebrate, and other times it’s the quiet, ordinary moments where we catch a glimpse of God’s goodness and faithfulness.

Gratitude isn't just for one day of the year. It's a posture of the heart that reminds us to look for God's hand in every season.

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:18

May your Thanksgiving be filled with peace, joy, and grateful hearts as we remember just how good God is. And may we carry that spirit of thankfulness with us long after the Thanksgiving table has been cleared.

🍂 What are you thankful for? 🍂

In the busyness of everyday life, it’s easy to overlook the little things that make life beautiful. We can get so caught up in what needs to be done, what’s coming next, and the challenges we’re facing that we forget to pause and give thanks.

What if gratitude became more than just a feeling we experience now and then? What if it became a daily way of living — a way of noticing God’s goodness, even in the ordinary moments?

This Thanksgiving season, may we slow down, open our eyes, and recognize the fingerprints of God all around us. There is always something to be thankful for. ❤️
