Good morning, Church Family!

I’m trying to get my days straight this week after a long weekend, but I’m not doing a very good job! Yesterday was Labour Day, the office was closed, our eldest headed off to university, and all the kiddies returned to school this morning. The house was SO quiet as I got ready for the office!

Praying for all our students, teachers, parents and bus drivers as we begin another school year. 🍎📚

Yesterday Pastor Gerald shared a powerful message, “Be Fruitful.” We were reminded that the fruit reveals our connection to the Vine.

Am I abiding daily with the Holy Spirit?
Am I deeply rooted in God’s Word?
Am I filled with the Holy Spirit?
Am I allowing Him to prune my life?

We were created to bear fruit! Sometimes that means breaking up the fallow ground and surrendering the distractions, habits, relationships, comforts or ambitions that keep us from greater fruitfulness.

May we ask God for repentance and surrender, and pray that the rain of the Holy Spirit would fall upon us, refreshing us and producing fruit through our lives.

Have a blessed week, Church Family! We’re praying for you!

🙏 A Prayer for Our Children as They Head Back to School 🍎📚

As a new school year begins, our children are stepping into new classrooms, meeting new people, and facing new challenges—some that we may never see.

So today, we pause and pray. ❤️

We pray that God would go with them into every classroom, hallway, playground, and bus ride. That He would give them courage when they feel small, kindness toward others, wisdom in their choices, and peace when things feel overwhelming.

Most of all, we pray that they would know just how deeply they are loved—not only by their families, but by their Heavenly Father who knows them, sees them, and holds them in His hands.

Today, we entrust our children to the One who loved them and called them His before they were ever ours. 🙏

Lord, watch over our children this school year. Guide their steps, guard their hearts and minds, and remind them that they are never alone. ❤️

“For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.” — Psalm 91:11

🌿 A Reminder to Rest 🌿

This Labour Day, we’re reminded that rest isn’t a reward we have to earn—it’s a gift God has woven into the way He made us.

We were never meant to run on empty. Our worth isn’t measured by how much we accomplish, how productive we are, or how much we can get done. We were loved by God long before we ever produced a single thing. ❤️

Labour Day gives us an opportunity to pause, breathe, and set the work down—not because everything is finished, but because God showed us that rest matters.

So today, give yourself permission to slow down. Rest. Breathe. Be present. And remember that your value has never been found in what you do, but in who you are in Christ. ✝️

Happy Labour Day! May we all find a little time to rest in His presence today. 🙏🌿

🌿 Mid-Week Encouragement 🌿

Good morning Church family!

Sometimes in the middle of a busy week, it’s easy to let worry take over—worry about tomorrow, our families, our finances, our work, or the things we simply can’t control.

But Jesus reminds us to look at the birds. They don’t spend their days worrying about whether they will have enough. They trust that their Creator will provide.

And how much more does our Heavenly Father care for us? ❤️

Whatever you’re carrying today, remember that you are seen, you are loved, and you are never forgotten by God. Take a deep breath, give your worries to Him, and trust that He is already working in ways you may not yet see.

Keep trusting. Keep praying. Keep looking to Him.
God has not forgotten you. 🙏🌿

🌧️ Monday Encouragement | “I Will Pour Out My Spirit”

What a challenging message from Pastor Gerald yesterday as we looked at Joel 2:28–32 and the promise, “I will pour out my Spirit…”

We were reminded that we can pray, repent, seek, prepare, preach and sow — but only God can send the rain.🌧️

God can use every one of us, regardless of our age or how long we have walked with Him. We need the young, and we need the old. Like a relay race, the baton of faith must be passed from one generation to the next.

And every day, we enter the mission field — our workplace, neighbourhood, community, school, friendships and even our local coffee shop. ☕️

Pastor Gerald challenged us this week to pray:

🙏 Lord, search my heart. — Psalm 139:23
🙏 Lord, fill me with Your Spirit.
🙏 Lord, show me my part in the harvest.
➡️Write down the names of 3 people who need encouragement, restoration or salvation and pray for them every day.
🙏 Lord, pour out Your Spirit upon Your church.

We can prepare the soil and sow the seed, but only God can send the rain. 🌱🌧️

May we be ready and willing to be used by Him this week!

🌿 Midweek Encouragement 🌿

Sometimes the hardest part of faith is simply waiting.

We want answers. We want to know what comes next. We want God to move in our timing. But Scripture reminds us that there is hope in the waiting.

“I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope.”
Psalm 130:5

Lord, teach us to be patient. Help us to trust Your timing, even when we don’t understand it. Give us the strength to wait and the hope that comes from knowing You are faithful.

Whatever you may be waiting on this week, keep trusting, keep praying, and keep hoping in His Word. God is working, even when we cannot yet see it. ❤️

Have a blessed Wednesday, Church Family! 🙏

“How can someone so grounded in science believe in God?”
This was one of the questions Alyssa had when she first came to Alpha.
She found a space where she could be honest about her struggles—where every question was welcomed and truly heard.
Stories like Alyssa's are why we do what we do and why we're inviting you to be part of it.

🎥 Watch Alyssa’s story: alphacanada.org/EasterStory26/

We would live to have you join us September 1st! We are starting the Alpha course, running weekly every Tuesday at 6:30pm at the Cedarside Campus, 46 Collingwood St. Flesherton.

Please feel free to contact the office at [email protected]

A new week is here, and we’re still reflecting on yesterday’s message from Pastor Gerald: “Let It Rain.” 🌧️

Just as rain brings life to dry ground—and new growth can come even after the devastation of a forest fire—God can bring restoration and new life into the difficult seasons of our own lives.

Jesus reminds us:

“The harvest truly is plentiful, but the labourers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into His harvest.” — Matthew 9:37–38

May we continue to cultivate our hearts, seek the Lord, pray for more labourers, and be ready for the work He has called us to do.

Let it rain, Lord. Prepare our hearts for the harvest. 🌱🙏
