With grateful hearts, we thank God for the success of our First-ever JOLIM Church Sportsfest!
🏸🏐🎖️🏆

This event was more than just sports and games. It was a beautiful opportunity to build stronger relationships, encourage one another, enjoy fellowship, and grow together as one family in Christ.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to sis Liv Ferrer for organizing this wonderful event and for the time, effort, and dedication she put into making it happen. To the entire committee, Pastor William Castellano Sasi sis Olive, Andrea Mher Osano, brother Calvin, Christopher de Castro and sister Beverly Young Burkholder who also helped orgnized the food as well, thank you for your hard work, leadership, support, and commitment. Your efforts helped make this first Sportsfest a memorable and successful one.

A big thank-you also goes to brother Art Reince Escaño, Elmer, and Jho Savillo for preparing the rules, setting up the sound system, and preparing the venue for the event. Thank you for your time, hard work, and willingness to serve behind the scenes. Your contributions played an important part in making this event successful!

To all our players, thank you for your participation, teamwork, sportsmanship, and enthusiasm. You brought so much energy, excitement, and joy to the event! Congratulations to everyone who participated. Whether you won or lost, what matters most is that we played with joy, respect, and unity.

To all our brothers and sisters who came to support, cheer, and be part of this special day, even without playing, thank you for showing your love and support!Your presence, smiles, and encouragement made the event even more meaningful. Every cheer, every laugh, and every moment shared helped create beautiful memories together.

Most importantly, we give all the glory and honor to God for bringing us together and allowing this event to happen successfully. We are reminded that we are not just a church that worships together, but also a family that supports, encourages, and celebrates one another.

As 1 Corinthians 10:31 reminds us, “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”*

May this first Sportsfest be the beginning of many more joyful activities, stronger friendships, and unforgettable memories in our church family. May we continue to grow not only in sportsmanship but also in love, faith, unity, and service to the Lord.

Once again, thank you to everyone who contributed in any way, whether through organizing, preparing, participating, helping behind the scenes, or simply showing up to support. Every effort, big or small, made a difference!

Congratulations, JOLIM Church, on our successful First Sportsfest!

To God be all the glory!

Last Sunday, Pastor William Sasi shared a powerful message titled Pursuing Perseverance.

In life, we all experience different kinds of hardships, whether emotional, physical, or financial. Sometimes, these challenges make us feel tired, discouraged, and ready to give up. The enemy may use these struggles to distract us and stop us from moving forward in our faith.

But God reminds us that hardships are part of our journey, and we must learn to keep going even when life gets difficult.

Hebrews 12:1 reminds us to run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Just like a long-distance runner who trains hard to build endurance, we must also strengthen our faith, let go of anything that holds us back, and keep moving forward with our eyes on Jesus.

John 16:33 reminds us that we will face troubles in this world, but we can take heart because Jesus has overcome the world.

And when worries and anxieties overwhelm us, Philippians 4:6–7 teaches us to pray about everything, give our worries to God, and trust in His peace, which is greater than our understanding.

Remember, perseverance does not mean we never get tired or discouraged. It means we continue to trust God, keep praying, and move forward even when the journey is hard.

Last Sunday, Pastor William talked about a question so many of us ask ourselves: “Do I actually have a spiritual gift?”

But the real question we need to ask is: “God gave me a gift, how am I using it?”

1 Peter 4:10 reminds us that God has given each of us a gift from His great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.

Our spiritual gifts were never meant to stay hidden in a box. Sometimes fear, anger, hurt, sin, or other things can stop us from using the gifts God has given us. Let’s surrender these things to God.

Our gifts were given to us so we can faithfully use them to bless others and serve God.

Remember, we don’t want just to be gifted, we want to be spiritual leaders who use what God has given us to serve others and glorify Him.
