PLEASE PRAY FOR THE QUICK AND SAFE RETURN OF FOUR YOUNG CHRISTIAN GIRLS WHO HAVE BEEN TAKEN BY ISRAELI ARMED SOLDIERS.

National Bishop Larry Kochendorfer is inviting the church to join in prayer and advocacy following an urgent request from Bishop Dr. Imad Haddad of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land (ELCJHL), an ELCIC partner church.

In a June 3 letter to the church, Bishop Kochendorfer shared Bishop Haddad’s concerns regarding Natalie Abuddayeh, a youth member of the ELCJHL, who was detained alongside three other women from her student apartment in Birzeit. Abuddayeh is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Reformation in Beit Jala, a graduate of Talitha Kumi Lutheran School and a media and journalism student at Birzeit University.

“Our prayers and actions for justice are always intertwined,” Kochendorfer wrote. “We join in prayer for our siblings in Christ.”

On Friday, May 22 at Trinity, we had the pleasure of hosting the High School Choir from LCBI - Lutheran Collegiate Bible Institute from Outlook. They brought their choir and jazz band to perform favorite hymns, contemporary pop music, and pop classics from the past and also some cultural music. Take a listen.

Just a friendly reminder of the concert tonight at Trinity Lutheran Church 738 2nd St. Estevan. The choir from LCBI in Outlook will be performing for us at 7 pm. A free will offering will be taken. Bring a friend come and hear the youth in grades 10-12 sing and there will also be music from their band. We are very excited to have them join us!!

Please join us on Friday, May 22 at 7 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church to hear the choir and jazz band from LCBI in Outlook. It will be a great evening. There are more than 50 students coming and they are in Grades 10 - 12. A freewill offering will be taken to cover their travel costs. All are welcome!
