Ascent Church

Ascent Church Ascent Church meets Sundays at 10:00am for our main service. Antioch is a church with a passion to see God made famous throughout Essex, Canada, and the world.

We believe God is still moving today and His heart is to see lives transformed with His love and power. We are a vibrant church with contemporary worship, relevant messages and a community of people who love others.

What a beautiful time of worship we spent together on Sunday. The Lord really did show us His face. Let us remember to seek His face every day, not just on Sundays.

Think of it this way: saying you're good alone or you don't need anyone else in your life is saying you know better than God.

Some of the loneliest people aren’t alone—they’re simply unknown.

We’ve learned to smile, say “I’m fine,” and carry our burdens in silence. But God never designed us to do life that way. Before Adam even recognized his need, God declared, “It is not good for man to be alone.”

Can you say you're truly known? That's a hard thing to think about. Take a moment to reflect on that. And if you're not - why? Could it be because you haven't allowed yourself to be known?

Maybe the bravest thing you can do this week isn’t trying harder—it’s letting someone in.

This is a tough question, so really take some time with it. Are you truly known? Are you really connected with people around you? Or are you just social media friends with no real depth?

Sabbath Saturday is coming!

We are excited to announce that our first Sabbath Saturday Service will be held on Saturday, July 11 at 6pm.

This special service will launch a 24-hour Sabbath experience as we learn together what it means to stop, rest, delight, and worship.

In a world that constantly pushes us to do more, Sabbath is an opportunity to slow down, trust God, enjoy our families, share a meal, rest our minds and bodies, and fix our eyes on Jesus.

Start planning now. Clear your schedule. Make room for what matters most.

One of the most challenging things about following Jesus is learning that not every need is your assignment.

The crowds always wanted more from Jesus: more teaching, more healing, more miracles. Yet He regularly stepped away, withdrew to be with the Father, and refused to let the demands of people become louder than the voice of God.

Many of us live exhausted because we’ve become experts at responding to every request, every notification, every expectation—but we’ve neglected the One who gives us life.

What if this week, instead of asking, “What does everyone need from me?” we asked, “What is God inviting me into?”

You don’t have to carry every burden. You don’t have to answer every demand. Sometimes the most faithful thing you can do is pause, be with the Father, and let His voice set the pace.

We've talked about the importance of boundaries in keeping our peace. We've talked about how to know if you have any in place. But how do you actually set boundaries?

06/11/2026

If you've been in church, you've probably heard the story of Mary and Martha. But you've probably never looked at it as a boundary-setting problem. If you've ever related to Martha, this one is for you!

Sometimes growth looks less like adding more to your life and more like giving yourself permission to let some things go.

We live in a world that constantly whispers, “Don’t miss out. Do more. Be everywhere. Say yes to everything.” But peace isn’t found in trying to keep up. Peace is found in knowing what God has called you to in this season—and being okay with letting the rest go.

Jesus wasn’t available to everyone all the time. He didn't give everyone the same access to Himself. He knew His purpose, He guarded His priorities, and He wasn’t afraid to step away from the crowd. Maybe healthy boundaries aren’t about missing out after all. Maybe they’re about making room for what matters most.

This week, where is God inviting you to trade FOMO for JOMO?
