Join us at 10 AM tomorrow May 31st for a Regional LAM service with Potluck Lunch hosted by Christ Church Athens, 1 Elma St.
As this is a regional service, there will be no St. Luke's services in Seeleys Bay or Elgin tomorrow.

In ancient Greek, the relationship between the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is described as "perichoresis": peri="around" and chōreō="to go, or come". Or more simply, the dance of the Trinity.

We invite you to join us for a LAM Regional Trinity Sunday Service tomorrow, May 31st beginning at 10 AM at Christ Church Athens, 1 Elma St. Following the service, we encourage you to join us for a potluck lunch in the church basement hall.

All are welcome - Dancing is optional!

On Red Dress Day, we remember the Indigenous women and girls who have been taken from their families and communities through violence, neglect and systemic injustice, and we recognize the ways the church has historically been complicit in systems that have harmed Indigenous peoples. We choose to listen, learn and walk alongside our Indigenous siblings on the path of truth and justice.

Thy Kingdom Come, we pray!
These familiar words from The Lord's Prayer inspire our world-wide annual prayer movement from Ascension Day (May 14th this year) through Pentecost (May 24th this year).
We invite you to participate as you are able. You can find links to TKC resources on our web page here:

We gathered together this afternoon at the AOG gallery to remember the Murdered & Missing Indigenous Women and Girls in advance of Red Dress Day May 5th. We offered prayers, listened to stories from surviving families members and committed ourselves to being advocates and allies. Thank you to Bill Gibbons for sharing the space of the AOG Gallery with it's curated collection including Indigenous art.

During this National Volunteer Week, we give thanks to all our volunteers in their many roles and ministries:

God of infinite love, we give you praise and thanks for the many gifts you have bestowed upon us. We give thanks for all of our volunteers who share their gifts to proclaim the Good News, in Word and Action, to your glory of your Name. We are grateful for all who serve in roles of leadership, worship, administration and the many ministries of loving service. Equip them with every spiritual gift that they may continue to serve in humility and joy. We pray with grateful hearts, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
