On this final day of bidding, we want to thank some more donors:

Stoodley's (Item 2)has been a supporter of St. Luke's since they first started operating in Elgin. Even you haven't tried them yet - you're missing out. I'm a little partial to their Nanny's garden pizza but they have so much more to offer!

G. Tackaberry & Sons Construction Company Limited (item 1) is a perennial donor to our online auction and they are first to support so many churches and service organizations in our local area. If you didn't already know, they Tackaberry was also a key driver (pun intended) of the new G. Tackaberry and Family Home in Athens.

We also have a couple of out of town supporters for our online auction this year. Subaru Kington (Item 16) have donated an oil change certificate and Kingston Hyundai (Item 17) have donated a duffle backpack and stainless steel mug. We are grateful for their support and for keeping our vehicles on the road!

We have more local businesses we want to highlight before we run out of time!

Gordanier Freshmart in Elgin is a tremendous asset to our community, especially for those who can't travel to urban centres for groceries. They are a longtime supporter of St. Luke's, not only donating a gift bassket for our auctino (Item 5), but also supporting our food security ministries includingn the brown bag lunches, frozen meals and new high school weekender bags. We are blessed to have them as a community partner!

Sand Lake Marina is another perennial supporter of St. Luke's! We are grateful for their donation of 4L of 2-stroke engine oil (Item 4) - still lots of room for bidding!

Amy's Country Cooking has donated a $50 gift certificate this year (Item 3) which you can use towards two of her always delicious meals. In addition to donating to our fundraising efforts, Amy has been blessing in catering from some of our parish and community meals.

If you can't support our fundraising auction, please try to support all our local businesses that work so hard to build up commmunity and care for their neighbours.

We were thrilled to present Provincial long-time volunteer service awards to Carol Ann (50 years) and Susan (45 years) in recognition of their loving service with St. Luke's Leeds Anglican Church. Awards we're also awarded to Etta, Denise, Bev and Mary D.

Here are today's local business highlights:

Wendys Country Market (Item 6 Gift Bag) is practically family! Wendy has done so much to support St. Luke's Leeds and our communities over the years. As well as contributing to our fundraising auctions, Wendy's has provided us with fresh foods for our food insecurity ministries. She has generously offered us space in the past for special services, our Agape refugee support gala and even Vacation Bible School fieldtrips. Wendy's has an incredible selection of fresh produce, meats, cheeses, milk, preserves and so much more. In the Spring and Summer, they have an incredible variety of plants and seedlings in their greenshouses. We are so blessed to have Wendys Country Market in our neighbourhood!

Co-located with Wendy's is Furnace Falls Coffee Company (Item 8). Mike looks after the roasting of beans at the Furnace Falls Farm and I can guarantee that it is done with great care and attention to detail. It's my go-to coffee beans and I especially appreciate I can grind it in store. It's also carried in other local stores.

Clearly Autoglass(Item 7) have been so generous to St. Luke's Leeds. Earlier this year, they donated non-perishable items and proceeds from sales towards our food insecurity programs. It's nice to know we have such a community-minded, necessary service in our own backyard (especially when you travel on gravel roads!)

Today we highlight a few more of our exceptional local businesses:

Julianna’s (Item 10) is an amazing breakfast, coffee and lunch spot in Elgin! I'm a little partial to their London Fog but their sandwiches and sweets will keep you coming back. While they have just celebrated their 1st anniversary in Elgin, Julianna's has been a supporter of St. Luke's Leeds' auction for a few years now. They have also been a welcome partner in our food security programs.

Suzette's Hair Styling has donated a highly coveted shampoo, cut and blow dry gift certificate again this year. Located next to Julianna's, Suzette is a local treasure offering quality hair styling at very reasonable prices. We are blessed to have local businesses like Suzette's stay within our rural communities!

The Junction Family Restaurant (Item 12) offers breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week. Located conveniently at the junction of Hwy 15 and Hwy 32, the Junction offers delicious meals, friendly service and generous portions! Another long time supporter of St. Luke's Leeds' fundraising efforts, The Junction also hosts us for our Men's Breakfast on the 2nd Tuesday of every month, and our Women's Lunch on the last Tuesday of every month. All are welcome to join us for fellowship over a great meal.

I really think this is the best collection of auction items we've had since we began these online auctions! Here are more local supporters we want to highlight:

Rideau Fit Co. (Item 13) has donated a one month membership worth $60. Rideau Fit Co is a boutique gym in Seeleys Bay (visible from Hwy 15) which has free weights, weight machines and cardio equipment in a truly intimidation free zone. Karen will warmly welcome you and provide guidance on how to meet your fitness needs. She also offers personal 1:1 training which is especially important for those recovering from injury or those trying to achieve new performance benchmarks. Watch for the incorporation of the RIdeau Wellness Collective which will include Group Fitness, Registered Massage Therapy (RMT), Psychotherapy, Nutrition Services, Yoga and more.

Seeley's Bay Family Chiropractic Clinic Dr. Dodie Elkins (Item14) has donated an Initial Assessment of $100 towards reguylar chiropractic care. Family Chiropractic has been a long time supporter of St. Luke's Leeds as well as other community events and initiatives. We are grateful to count them as one of our community partners looking after the health and well being of our neighbours!

Our third donor highlight today is Skinny B's Homemade Goodies who has promised a dozen butter tarts and a pan of brownies to the hightest bidder (Item 15). In addition to baking these mouthwatering treats, Linda is a volunteer at our Thrift Shop!

There truly is something for everyone in our online auction!

Today we want to highlight a few more businesses who have donated to this years' St. Luke's Leeds online auction:

Terri at The Green Gecko is a long time supporter of St. Luke's Leeds and an instrumental part of promoting local shopping in Lyndhurst, Elgin, Seeleys Bay and beyond. Her shop is full of an eclectic mix of jewellry, clothes, small home furnishings, kitchenware, beauty items and more! It's one of my favourite places when I need a gift for a friend or a little retail therapy. This year The Green Gecko has donated two sets of throw pillows (Items 19 and 23) and a whimsical women's wallet featuring toadstools and dragon flies.

Gunnebrooke Farms Ltd. is in competition with Ridgway Confections for the sweetest donation to our auction. Again this year, they have donated a litre of their prized Maple Syrup (Item 22) - a perennial favourite!

Fox Run By the River has again donated a large gift basket with fragrance and beauty items (Item 24). Fox Run is a retirement residence located on the Thousand Islands Parkway - their staff and residents have been very generous to St. Luke's Leeds over the years and we appreciate their support.

Still lots of time to bid in our amazing 2026 Online Auction! We are blessed to have 22 local businesses supporting St. Luke's ministry & mission through donations to the auction this year. We want to highlight a few of these community partners each day to say thank you for how they have helped St. Luke's and the wider community.

Item 69 is a new addition to the auction from Above and Beyond Cleaning. Amanda has generously donated a free 2 hour basic cleaning.

Item 68 is a Gift Basket donated by Ridgway Confections which includes a bag of pecan crunch, 3 chocolate bars (hazelnut, peanut butter and pretzel) plus a chocolate frog and cocolate dipped sour keys. Do you have any idea how much restraint is needed to not break into this basket of goodies when the chocolate craving hits?! Ridgway, based in Seeleys Bay has been a long time supporter of St. Luke's though our annual online auctions to truffle table favours for our past Gala to support refugees. They are also a tremendous community supporter - they have raised over $215000 for the local food bank over the last 12 years. We are so grateful for their gifts in chocolate (and tea) artistry and contributions to community building.

Item 46 is a gift basket from The Tipped Ship which includes Red Fife Pancake Mix, Canadian Maple Tea, Pink Grapefruit Marmalade and bird pattern paper napkins. Like Ridgway, The Tipped Ship is a perrenial supporter of St. Luk'e Leeds. We especially appreciated their generous donation of proceeds from their Spring Fashion Show to our Food Security ministries.
