This week at the Men of Honour meetup, we spoke about something many men overlook… taking care of the body God gave us.

As men, we cannot pour into our families, communities, and purpose while neglecting ourselves. Discipline in the gym, discipline in health, discipline in spirit, they all work together.

Strong body. Strong mind. Strong spirit.

Iron sharpens iron. ⚔️

Brotherhood matters. Fellowship matters.

Great night connecting with our members aka brothers.

When Men of Honour come together, purpose is restored, and leaders are forged.

No man was designed to walk alone.

“Two are better than one… For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow.” — Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

And congrats to the shooting champ with a high score of 86 for the night 🔥☄️

A memorable night at .yeg 6th annual FLOURISH fundraiser.

What stood out most was the impact. Real stories, real people, and a clear purpose behind everything they’re doing. You can see how deeply they care about investing in the next generation of leaders in our city.

They’re building confidence, character, and direction in young people who are going to shape the future around us. That kind of work matters more than ever.

Grateful to have been in the room and to witness it firsthand.

“Better to have self-control than to conquer a city.”“Proverbs 16:32

The real fight isn’t out there, it’s within. Choosing patience over anger, discipline over impulse, and doing what’s right when it’s hard—that’s strength.

Mastering yourself is the greatest victory.”

Brothers,
The enemy offered Jesus all the power and glory in the world if He would just take a shortcut and bow. But Jesus refused. He chose obedience over manipulation.
That’s the kind of power we’re talking about today.

Here’s what God is teaching us as men:
If you want to be part of His Kingdom, you must be willing to serve others.

The more surrendered you are, the more real power God hands you. The cowardly will not inherit the Kingdom.

Fear is one of the biggest killers of power.

David didn’t step onto the battlefield for personal glory. He came to serve. That’s the heart of a man of honour.

Let’s be honest with ourselves today:

Am I looking for shortcuts, or am I fully surrendered?

Am I serving others, or just protecting my own image?

Is fear quietly killing the power God wants to release in me?

Let’s reject cheap power built on manipulation and fear.
Let’s choose worship, service, and bold obedience instead.

The more we surrender, the more He entrusts to us.
Who’s with me, brothers? Let’s talk.

Men of Honour : Tuesday Meetup Rewind ⏮️

This week we were reminded of a powerful truth:

Asking brings clarity.

Seeking creates movement.

Knocking builds patience and endurance .

The process is shaping you.

Don’t rush the journey.

Don’t mistake delay for denial.

God is doing the deep work in you right now. Stay consistent. Stay in faith.

Easter just passed. The death and resurrection of our Lord.

What does really mean as men called to lead?

The cross is not just a moment in history. It is a daily invitation to lay down pride, ego, and comfort for the sake of those entrusted to us

And the resurrection is not just a story. It is a call to rise. To live with clarity, discipline, and purpose. To become who we know we are meant to be

To die to who we were
and rise into who we are called to be

This is the standard

Over the past few weeks we’ve been talking about legacy, what a man builds, who he becomes, and what he leaves behind. At Honour Code, it all came together around one idea: finishing well.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7

Finishing well is not about perfection, it is about faithfulness. Legacy is built day by day, not at the end. You don’t drift into it, you choose it and live it out.

It is not about how you start. It is about how you finish.

Decide who you want to be at the end, then live like it today.
