The difference between ordinary faith and saving faith is in the subjects in which it is placed... Never make a Christ out of your faith, nor think of it as if it were the independent source of your salvation. Our life is found in looking unto Jesus, not looking to our own faith. By faith all things have become possible to us; yet the power is not in the faith, but in the God upon whom the faith relies.
- Charles Spurgeon

"He created both Night and Day. If it's dark in your life right now, be patient; the sun always rises. And if it's light right now, be thankful. But don't get attached to the sun. It is in its design to also set. Praise Him for both the night and the day and know that He never sets."

This is so true! One of our biggest challenges is trusting God when He tells us to let go of something.Choosing to abandon your desires to walk with God is not at all appealing. I pray that we may learn to obey simply because He wouldn't tell us to do something if it wasn't for our good, and His glory. God is loveeee

FREE THOUGHTS FRIDAY

Imagine a love so vast, so deep, so wide, so all-consuming, so infinite that you could do everything in your power to deny it, that you can treat it like trash, but it would still want you with a passion deeper than you've ever known.

Allow me to introduce you to Jesus Christ!!!

I read the same chapter in another version and noticed the word Selah, which means pause, then realized how after each Selah/pause/ stop / .. the text takes another turn! Verse 1to 4 David recognizes that blessed is the one who's sin is forgiven and he admits that his sin has been weighing heavy on him, then stops. Verse 5 he decides to give it to God by confessing and he is forgiven, then pauses. In verse 6-7 this then makes him realize that God is truly his refuge, protector and deliverer. He stops again and in verse 8 he now let's God speak to him..

So guys in everything let's always stop for a bit and think and not just stay in our sorrow and self pity (which is how this chapter started) but turn to God and also let him speak to us. God Bless y'all 💕
