On Sunday we heard about John’s amazement at heaven, like he got a little glimpse of it and saw it in all it’s beauty as Jesus was telling him in Revelation 21:5, “for these are the words of the true and faithful.”

Praise the Lord that we have a hope in heaven and is guaranteed for the Christian!

On Sunday, Pastor Pete was going through Revelation 20:4-15 and brought to our attention the importance of recognizing rebellion in our life. The Holy Spirit will bring conviction that leads us to the foot of the cross, but the enemy brings condemnation and destruction.

If we are in rebellion we need to first go to the foot of the cross and number two, we need to submit to God’s word, continuing forward in the power of the Holy Spirit. Praise God for the Grace extended to us when we turn from rebellion.

Last week we read about Jesus coming into the city on a white horse.

We learned at Jesus’s first coming he road a donkey into Jerusalem, symbolizing him making peace with mankind. At Jesus’ second coming, he is coming on a horse. He is coming to make war with those that reject him and to conquer in righteousness.

In Revelation 19 we learned again about God’s omnipotence and that He is the almighty one and ruler of all.

Pastor Pete provided us an illustration of bringing our favourite mug to the ocean. Our removal of water from the ocean won’t make a difference, because of how big the ocean is. Similar to our relationship will God, sometimes our human can’t even comprehend how almighty and omnipotent God is!

Praise and glory to God that we can know him and know him as a good God!
