Richard Bowler will be leading a special Lenten service this Sunday, March 29 at 7pm at Knox Evangelical Free Church in Old Strathcona. It will have The Lion, the Witch and the Wardobe theme, as we anticipate the magical transition from Winter to Spring, with a focus on the cross. Music by Sarah Brightman, Matt Redman, Stuart Townend, Fernando Ortega and others will be featured, as well as poetry and reflection. All invited. Free. 75 minutes.

Get ready to celebrate the Christmas season with spectacular music! Join us for the Knox Advent Series, a series of four fabulous music performances held at the historic Knox Church in the heart of Old Strathcona! Our series begins with "The Joy of Organ at Christmas," a majestic showcase starring organist Warren Mack (Nov 28th), followed by the swinging tunes of the Leesila Dawkins Quintet's “Christmas in the Key of Jazz” (Dec 7). Next will be the distinctive euphonium duo Twophonium performing "A Very Merry Twophonium Christmas" (Dec 14), and our series concludes with "The Music of Christmas" starring the rich harmonies of the Josephburg Choral Society Men's Chorus (Dec 21).

Support our community and preserve our heritage with the Restoration Bottle Drive! Please bring your refundable bottles, cans and beverage containers to help raise funds for the preservation of our historic 118 year old church in Old Strathcona.

Renowned local organist, Warren Mack, will be playing a variety of music on the historic Knox Church pipe organ. Afterwards enjoy a slice of pie, and perhaps purchase a delicious homemade pie to take home!

Have you noticed the most beautiful scaffolding slowly surrounding Knox Church? We are so excited to have scaffolding! The people of Knox Church, along with kind donors, and in partnership with the City of Edmonton and Province of Alberta have begun major restoration work on the brickwork - "repointing." We pray for safety for the workers who are carrying out this painstaking restoration - your work is so appreciated! There are still funds to be raised and much work to do, but God is providing and we are thankful. Happy Thanksgiving Day!
