Yesterday, the Premier of Alberta announced that, as of today, there are no longer any capacity restrictions on venues of less than 500. So, you will no longer need to register for worship on Sundays. Simply show up! Our chairs will be returned to their normal configuration in the sanctuary. For the moment, our livestream will remain publicly available on YouTube for those who cannot be with us in person. We will continue running the stream in the church hall on Sunday mornings for those who need to step out or who require some more space. We encourage everyone who is able to plan to be with us in person on Sundays. The indoor masking requirement remains in place for now, but that is expected to be removed in the coming weeks. Please pray for our province in the coming days, as restrictions are lessened, that we might learn to live together again in love and peace, regardless of our convictions about or actions during the pandemic.

These last few months at 15% capacity have been difficult ones at Crestwood. It has always been our intention to provide the opportunity for everyone to attend who wants to do so on a Sunday. This is why we made changes to our Sunday evening service, to make it more like the morning service and to celebrate the Lord’s Supper there as well. Quite a few people have used this option. But we also know that not everyone is able to make it on a Sunday evening.

So, on Good Friday and Easter Sunday we will have two morning services at Crestwood. They will be at 9:30 and 11:00 AM. The first service will last an hour and we will air out the room and disinfect the seating and high-touch surfaces in between the first and second services. The 11:00 service will also be live-streamed. As usual on holiday weekends, there will not be an evening service on Easter Sunday.

We know that many of us have not been to church in person in a long time. Others have stayed home, knowing that this means someone else will have a place to sit. We are encouraged by the love, patience, and selflessness displayed over these previous months. We invite you to come back and worship in person with us.

If you register to attend next week, please let the office know which service you plan to come to, or if both could work for you.

We look forward to celebrating the Lord’s crucifixion and resurrection with you.

The SA Foundation provides long term recovery and job skills training for women and their children escaping the horrors of sexual exploitation. We could not support her without you, our Champions for Freedom, and so we invite you to our annual Spring Bling fundraiser (happening online) on April 16th!

Your ticket for this event is an 'EVENT BOX'- delivered right to your door! Our 'EVENT BOX' contains amazing treats, a beautiful item from Global Wonders (retail value of at least $25), alongside tangible ways for you to engage and interact during the private ZOOM event- helping you to understand 'Her' journey to freedom. Will you join us on April 16th to hear how freedom flourishes in 'Her' life and how YOU can be a part of seeing this hope spread in our world?

Event boxes can be purchased for $30 (incl delivery) on Eventbrite
