Wonderful to see more women and people of colour representing our denomination! Congratulations sister!

We are so happy to share the news that our Sister the Rev Nasel Ephraim was elected to serve as bishop of the Unitas Fratrum, the worldwide Moravian Church.

Nasel was ordained in the East West Indies Province in 2002, consecrated a presbyter in 2009 and has served in Barbados and St. Kitts. She currently serves as pastor of Redeemer Moravian Church in Philadelphia, Pa. She also serves as Chair of the Northern Province Provincial Women's Board, is a member of the Racial Justice and Healing team, and a member of the Church and Society committee.

We were blessed to spend time with Sister Nasel in Arusha, Tanzania in February 2026, when she served as a the North America- Northern Province delegate to the Unity Women's Consultation.

"And the angel said unto them:
Fear not! For, behold,
I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David, a Saviour,
which is Christ the Lord.
Glory to God in the highest,
and on Earth, peace and good will toward men."
- Luke 2:8-14

Wishing peace, joy, hope, and love to you and yours, and a very Merry Christmas, from all of us at Heimtal Moravian! ❤️💚
