Щиро дякуємо хористам від хору “Нове Життя” і музикантам від ансамблю “Елегантні Струни” за пісні та слова які супроводжували нашу молитву і підносили наш духовний настрій. Хай вселаскавий Господь їх щедро благословить!

This evening Jerusalem matins at 6:00 p.m. in Ukrainian. Afterwards the Nove Zhyttia choir will sing hymns while the church is open for prayer (until midnight).

Holy Eucharist Parish (6425 120 Ave NW) now has Divine Liturgy in Ukrainian every Sunday at 12:00. There is also a Ukrainian "Mothers in Prayer" group, altar servers, a youth choir, and children's catechetical program. All are welcome!

Join us this Saturday (March 21) for our parish bake sale fundraiser 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. in the church hall.

*We're also still accepting donations (your own home baking or financial contribution). Please label, if using nuts or peanut butter. Bake sale donations need to be delivered either on March 20th from 4 pm to 8 pm or on March 21st by 9:30 am to the church basement.

У цей Великий піст запрошуємо вас зупинитися, прислухатися і дозволити словам Ісуса з Хреста оновити ваше серце.
Приходьте на три великопосні четверги на лекції та розмови з нашими священниками, які роздумуватимуть над тим, що означають останні слова Христа для нас сьогодні.

God Speaks from the Cross – Lenten Evenings with Our Ukrainian Catholic Priests

This Great Fast, you are invited to pause, listen, and be renewed by the words of Jesus from the Cross.
Join us for three Thursday evenings of Lenten lectures and conversations with our Ukrainian Catholic priests as they reflect on what Christ’s final words mean for us today.

🗓 Dates: March 12, 19, 26
🕖 Time: 7:00–8:30 PM
📍 Location: St. Basil’s Cultural Centre, Edmonton
💻 Format: In person & on Zoom
💰 No fee and no registration required – come as you are, and bring a friend.

We will have bilingual clergy and team members present who can assist Ukrainian-speaking participants with clarification, translation of key points, or questions, so that everyone can fully take part in the evenings.

Each evening will include prayer, a short talk, and time for reflection and questions. Whether you come to one evening or all three, this is a beautiful way to enter more deeply into the mystery of the Cross and prepare your heart for the Resurrection.

The Fast of St. Philip (Nativity Fast) begins Monday, November 15, 2024 and ends on Christmas Eve with Great Compline and Lytia. This is a time to grow in prayer, fasting, almsgiving, and works of mercy; at minimum, we abstain from meat on Wednesdays and Fridays, and keep a stricter fast from meat, eggs, and dairy on Christmas Eve, together with Confession.
