HUMANITARIAN AID FOR KHARKIV & DONETSK 🇺🇦

Our September 2026 Campaign continues, and the need for humanitarian assistance in Eastern Ukraine remains urgent.

The war continues to affect thousands of families every day. In the Donetsk region, 1,034 shellings were recorded in just one day on September 6, damaging 23 civilian properties, including 12 homes.
In the Kharkiv region, more than 520,000 people have been displaced, while 1,500–2,000 people come to St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral every week seeking food, medicine and other basic necessities.

Our Eparchy has set a goal of raising $60,000 by the end of September to provide food, medicine, blankets, heaters, generators and other essential humanitarian assistance to families affected by the war.

This September, the Ukrainian Catholic Church in Canada is coming together to support people affected by the war in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Edmonton is taking part alongside other eparchies across Canada. While each eparchy is responding to different needs and affected areas, our shared goal is the same: to stand with the people of Ukraine through prayer, solidarity and practical humanitarian assistance.

🙏 The Eparchy of Edmonton is focusing its campaign on displaced families in the Exarchates of Kharkiv and Donetsk.

We are raising $60,000 to send two semi-truckloads of essential supplies, including food, medicine, blankets, heaters and generators.

As in previous humanitarian appeals, all funds raised through this campaign will be sent to CNEWA, our trusted humanitarian partner in Ukraine.

When we come together as one Ukrainian Catholic Church, our individual gifts can become meaningful support for families who have been forced from their homes.

🙏 Єпархія Едмонтона зосереджує свою кампанію на допомозі родинам переселенців в Екзархатах Харківському та Донецькому.
Ми збираємо $60 000, щоб надіслати дві фури необхідних речей, зокрема продуктів харчування, ліків, ковдр, обігрівачів і генераторів.

Як і під час попередніх гуманітарних звернень, усі кошти, зібрані під час цієї кампанії, будуть передані CNEWA, нашому надійному гуманітарному партнеру в Україні.

✨ World Youth Day at Home 2026 is coming to Mundare!

From the evening of August 21 to the morning of August 23, young adults are invited to Saints Peter and Paul Parish in Mundare for a weekend of prayer, faith, friendship, and fun.

This year’s gathering is centred on the theme of vocation — helping young people reflect on God’s call in their lives, their identity, purpose, relationships, and future. Through inspiring talks, prayer, and time spent with others their own age, participants will have the chance to ask important life questions and grow in faith together.

- Communal prayer
- Talks on vocation
- Fellowship and community building
- A Saturday evening dance
- Time to connect with other young people who share the same values
- A chance to grow spiritually and personally in a welcoming Catholic environment

Сьогодні Єрусалимська утреня о 6:00 в українській мові. Потім хор “Нове Життя” співатиме страсні пісні під час молитви і чування в храмі (церква відчинена до півночі).

This evening Jerusalem matins at 6:00 p.m. in Ukrainian. Afterwards the Nove Zhyttia choir will sing hymns while the church is open for prayer (until midnight).
