On behalf of Muslim communities here in Edmonton and across Canada, the Muslim Association of Canada (MAC) extends its deepest sympathy to everyone affected by the heartbreaking wildfires in Jasper.

Our hearts go out to the families and communities impacted by this disaster. In the spirit of compassion and unity, MAC remains on standby ready to work with all levels of government to transform its mosques, community centers and schools into shelters or other services.

Islam teaches the importance of community support and compassion. Our prayers and support are also with the first responders and service people combatting this fire and taking care of evacuees.

Our final Taraweeh Teachings of the year. Thank you all for swiping through and supporting us, we pray you have benefit from these and if you haven’t yet made it out for taraweeh this year at Mcdougall, please join us before the blessed month comes to an end!

KHATM | COMPLETION OF THE QURAN: Sunday April 7. Join us TOMORROW to reap the blessings of the completion of the greatest of Books at McDougall United.

If you do not/are not praying, there is plenty space for spectators to just come and listen, so don’t let that hold you back. It will be an ODD NIGHT too, and we promise a special tea and treats for all who join us!

Emphasis on the large space for both men and women: the ceilings are over 15 feet high so if you are struggling with the stuffiness and lack of ventilation in other prayer spaces-McDougall is where you should be.

Alhamdulillah the last ten days of Ramadan are here and we know that, somehow, parking can be the hardest part of your fasting day. That’s why we have free imPark parking behind McDougall for Taraweeh. It takes 30 seconds to park your car and get inside for prayer, come and visit us every night for Edmonton’s most soothing Taraweeh experience inshallah.

is excited to host a heart-openening event in Edmonton, with Mansour who was reporting daily on the ground since the War on Gaza began, showing the world the brutal realities of war against defenseless people. Mansour returned to his home in February and passionately shares his experience.

Tomorrow! Our 3rd weekly Halaqa on the Islamic concept of Victory (this week is on how to be victorious with your habits) is slated for 3:30pm inshallah. Last week we had our largest turnout yet and were able to sit together and study the words of Allah and the prophet SAW. Inshallah if you’re free tomorrow come by! No registration required.
