Thank you so much to our long-serving and new sponsors! Out of an identified 103 children, we have been able to match 42 children with a sponsor. This is a great start but we still need your help! More than half of the children still need support!

As of Tuesday, December 12 2023, we still have 61 children from across 12 villages that are in dire circumstances.

For only $360.00 a year, you can ensure that one of these children has a hot meal every day, fresh clothing, and better access to healthcare and education.

We are thrilled to share the pride and joy emanating from the recently concluded 24th Annual Hetman Awards. This gala was a testament to the outstanding leaders and organizations that have played a pivotal role in shaping and supporting our vibrant Ukrainian community in Alberta.

The awards ceremony spotlighted leaders who have made significant contributions to the growth of the Ukrainian community in the province, offered crucial aid to Ukraine, and embraced Ukrainian newcomers seeking refuge from the challenges of the Russian war. Heartfelt congratulations to the well-deserving volunteers! Your dedication and commitment truly set a standard for community excellence.

This year marked a historic moment with the introduction of the Ukraine Crisis Humanitarian Aid Award. This accolade shines a light on those who have demonstrated extraordinary efforts in providing essential aid during the challenging times in Ukraine.

Recipients of the awards were chosen from numerous nominations submitted by community organizations. We express gratitude to all who took the time to acknowledge their volunteers. We take pride in having a total of 57 recipients at this event.

Let us continue to stand united in solidarity and support Ukraine. Together, we can foster a strong and united Ukrainian community in Alberta.

Thank you to all the award recipients, honored guests, family, friends, and the organizing committee for a spectacular event. The generosity shown through the donations totaling close to $10,000 is a testament to the immense heart of our community. This support will undoubtedly make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by the crisis in Ukraine.
