OPEN THE DOORS AGAIN
📖 2 Chronicles 29:1–17

This message was a sobering call to confront the spiritual complacency that has quietly settled into our homes, our hearts, and even our churches.

We are living in a generation where many are being discipled more by screens than by Scripture. Families sit together but rarely pray together. Parents often outsource spiritual leadership while biblical literacy continues to decline.

Meanwhile, things like prayerlessness, bitterness, gossip, compromise, and po*******hy become normalized while we still claim spiritual health. And too often, churches entertain people instead of equipping them to carry their cross.

But Hezekiah reminds us of something powerful:
🔥 Your inheritance does not have to become your identity.
🔥 What previous generations tolerated can still be confronted.
🔥 Closed doors can be opened again.

The call of this generation is not comfort—it’s consecration.
Not performance—but repentance.
Not casual Christianity—but revival.

What one generation refuses to confront, the next generation is forced to carry.

It’s time to open the doors again.

📚✨ CONSECRATION READING LIST ✨📚

Growth in Christ does not happen by accident—it happens through intentional formation, devotion, prayer, study, and surrender.

As a church, we believe consecration is more than a moment; it’s a lifestyle of becoming more like Jesus. These books were carefully selected to challenge, sharpen, and deepen our walk with God in areas such as:

🔥 Holiness
🔥 Spiritual Formation
🔥 Discipleship
🔥 Leadership
🔥 Repentance & Renewal
🔥 Emotional & Spiritual Health

From classics like The Holiness of God and The Cost of Discipleship to transformative reads on spiritual maturity and formation, this list is designed to help cultivate a deeper love for God and a more rooted faith.

We encourage you to prayerfully choose a book, take your time, and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through your reading.

📖 Consecration is not about performance—it’s about proximity.
đź“– Deep discipleship requires intentional pursuit.
đź“– What we consistently consume shapes who we become.

Which book are you adding to your reading list first? 👀⬇️

May is here, and with it, a call to go deeper.

This month at Freedom Life Church, we are stepping into a Season of Consecration, a sacred time to draw near, surrender more, and seek Him first.

As we gather in Bible Study, Corporate Prayer, Communion, and community, may this be more than a schedule… may it be a posture. A month to realign, refocus, and respond to God with intentionality.

No one is exempt. This is a unified call to the whole body.

🕊️ Bible Study — Every Thursday | 6:30 PM via Zoom
🙏 Corporate Prayer — Every Saturday | 10:00 AM
🍞 Communion Sunday — May 3rd
🎳 Young Adults Gathering — May 16th | Splitville Bowl Edmonton Northwest (Time TBA)

Let us consecrate ourselves.
Let us lean in.
Let us seek Him first.

Vulnerability with God is not weakness—it’s wisdom.

In this clip, Elder Princeton Grant reminds us that honest prayer is where real transformation begins. Too often, we try to fight private battles with public strength while avoiding the One who actually gives us power.

🔥 If we don’t ask God for help, we shouldn’t be surprised when temptation overwhelms us.
🔥 If we hide our struggles, we delay our healing.
🔥 If we refuse vulnerability, we miss the strength found in surrender.

Prayer is more than routine—it’s honest dependence.
It’s bringing God your struggles, your temptations, your weakness, and trusting Him for daily strength.

From Sunday to Friday, the practice remains the same:
Be real. Ask for help. Stay dependent.

Your breakthrough may begin with the prayer you’ve been too guarded to pray.

UNCOMMON CONVERSATIONS
📖 Matthew 6:6, 9–13 | Philippians 4:6–7

Last Sunday, Elder Princeton Grant reminded us of a powerful truth: Prayer is the safest place.

In a world full of noise, anxiety, pressure, and uncertainty, prayer is not our last resort—it is our first refuge.

Too often we search for peace in people, platforms, or distractions, when God has already given us access to His presence.

🔥 Prayer is where panic loses power.
🔥 Prayer is where fear meets faith.
🔥 Prayer is where our priorities realign.

Jesus didn’t just teach us how to pray—He revealed prayer as relationship, surrender, and daily dependence on the Father.

When we choose uncommon conversations with God, we discover that peace is not found in perfect circumstances, but in the presence of God Himself.

This week, don’t just talk about your problems—bring them to the One who holds peace, provision, and purpose.

Prayer is still the safest place.

MISPLACED PRIORITIES
đź“– Haggai 2

Prophetess Samantha Rodriques reminded us that one of the enemy’s greatest strategies is discouragement. If he can get us focused on disappointment, comparison, or what feels unfinished, he can distract us from the assignment God has given us.

The people in Haggai’s day became discouraged because the new temple did not look like the old one. Their focus shifted to what they thought was missing instead of who was still with them.

God’s response was simple:
🔥 “My Spirit remains among you.”
🔥 “Do not fear.”
🔥 “Keep building.”

Our emotions are real, but they cannot become our compass. Feelings of disappointment, delay, or frustration cannot stop us from finishing what God has called us to do.

God is still with you.
His promises are still certain.
And the assignment is still worth completing.

Don’t let discouragement cause you to abandon what God asked you to build.
