❤️Scripture: (SORP)
John 1:2
He was with God in the beginning.

❤️Observation:
John's Gospel was written so that we might believe that: "Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing we may have life in His name." And so we read in the opening verses of John's Gospel: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God." And He created all things, for He is the Word of God. He is Life, and He is Light. Jesus Christ is God incarnate, but He was also the sinless Man, born to die.

❤️Reflection:
But Christ is also essential humanity and is able to empathise with our weaknesses, for He was tempted in every way, just as we are, yet without sin. He is the visible image of the invisible God, with the full, undiluted essence of God in Man.

Christ is one of the kind. He is the unique God-Man. He was the only Member of the Trinity Who became a Man, and He was the only Member of the human race Who was in the beginning with God. And for love of you and me, Christ Jesus became sin so that all who believe on Him would not perish but be clothed in His righteousness and made joint-heirs with Himself so that in the ages to come we might show forth the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

❤️Prayer:
Heavenly Father, the more I reflect on the truth of your Word, the more amazed I become at your love for me.

Thank you that the Word became flesh and dwelt among us so that by faith in Him, we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

Thank you for sending Jesus, the Word, Who was with the Father before the world began.
To Him be all praise and glory, AMEN.

❤️Scripture:
Johh 1:1 NIV
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

❤️Observation:
“In the beginning..." is Deity's statement of fact. "In the beginning..." are words pregnant with meaning that subordinate logic, philosophy, psychology, and science. "In the beginning..." is a concept that astounds both the religious thinker and confounds the pagan theorist. It impacts both the believer's mind and the atheist's imaginings but: "In the beginning, was the WORD, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

The Word is forever present throughout the span of eternity past, and 'The Word' is deep within the conscious, personal existence of the justified man. Yet 'The Word' is wholly distinct from the Father and the Holy Spirit for: "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God." And the Word both received and reciprocated the love of the Father in the Triunity of the Spirit.

A unique relationship and unbreakable unity existed within the eternal Godhead before the uncreated God spoke the created universe into being and formed man from the dust of the earth in His own image and likeness. The eternal Word was with God in the beginning, and through this second Person of the Trinity, all things were created that were made.

By Him all things were made in heaven and on earth; things seen and things unseen, authorities, lords, rulers, and powers. All things were made by Him and all things were made for Him. He was sent by the Father to accomplish salvation in the power of the Spirit. Only God the Son was dressed in human flesh and became the Son of Man, and for this reason, all power has been given to Him to judge the living and the dead.

❤️Reflection:
Each Person of the triune Godhead have their own unique roles to play and their own indigenous responsibilities to fulfil, and yet together they work in perfect harmony, being equal and perfect in every aspect of their Being. The Godhead is a Triunity, one in essence yet in three Persons with one divine nature that is the same is substance: yet co-equal, co-eternal, co-infinite, and consubstantial.

The Lord our God is One, working together in perfect harmony and united in every attribute and function of consummate Deity. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit work together in perfect union and thrilling harmony, with each other as Members of this eternal, uncreated Tri-Unity. Each stunning attribute is eternal in character - and HOLY is His name.

The Word was not only with God in the beginning but from eternity past the Word was God. The Word not only dwelt with God from before time began, or space and matter existed, but the Word was true God; for the Lord our God is One Lord and yet presents Himself in Three perfect Persons of the same substance, of identical essence, consubstantial, co-eternal, co-equal, co-infinite: "Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty. Heaven and earth are full of His glory - Hosanna in the highest."

The Word can never be identified as a god, as certain apostate religions and unbiblical denominations declare, for to consider Him so would be to deny His claim to eternal divinity and render Him as inferior to the Father. Similarly, God can never be classed as one unity, as unitarianists teach, where the Father is the Son Who in turn is the Spirit. Nor is God one 'Person' with three different roles, or faces. Every such aberrant teaching that denies the deity of Christ, denigrates His humanity, and opposes the truth and inerrancy of God's Word.

NO, as the Bible records: "In the beginning WAS the Word and the Word was WITH God and the Word WAS God."

In the absolute and unique unity of the Godhead, before the foundation of the world and all that was created, is the WORD Who is identified from all eternity as the only One Who is qualified to become incarnate flesh - Immanuel - God with us - perfect God made fully Man - fully God and perfect Man - the eternal Son Who became the living Word - God the Son, Who was born as the Son of Man. For: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory - as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth."

❤️Prayer:
Father in heaven, I worship and praise your holy name for your wonderful plan of salvation. Thank you for sending Jesus, the Word, who was with the Father before the world began. He came to earth willingly, in human flesh, so that a sinner such as I may be redeemed by His precious blood. Praise your name and praise Jesus, in ehose name I pray, Amen.

Scriptures:💚
Psalm 34:1, I will bless the Lord at all times His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

Observation:💚
We have been saved by grace through faith, not of works. Our salvation is a free gift of God to all who believe. We have been declared righteous by the Lord and showered with every spiritual blessing, simply because we have trusted in the shed blood of Christ for the remission of sins and life everlasting.

Is it any wonder that David was so willing to cry out with his whole heart, "I will bless the Lord at ALL times. His praise shall be continually on my lips." When we praise our Heavenly Father and glorify His holy name, the focus of our attention is removed from our own, limited life and petty predicaments. It gives balance to all we say and do.

God Himself knows the immense benefits that we enjoy when we turn our eyes away from ourselves onto the Lord Jesus and look full into His wonderful face - which is why Paul reminds us in first Thessalonians to, "rejoice evermore, pray without ceasing, and in everything to give thanks to the Lord, for this is God's will for us."

Reflection:💚
The Lord is worthy of our ongoing worship and devoted praise. He deserves our grateful thanksgiving and whole-hearted trust in every area of our life. And when He is the centre of our lives, we look to HIM and HIS power and abilities rather than our own inabilities... as we know that His grace is sufficient and His strength is made perfect in our dependent reliance upon HIM.

If it is our desire to bless the Lord at all times and under all circumstances, our heart needs to be right before the Lord. We need to be men and women after God's own heart - saying and doing only those things that honour His name, for He alone is worthy. And the more we spend time in His presence, in prayer, praise, and the study of His Word, the greater we will discover the benefits of blessing the Lord at all times and continually praising His holy name.

Knowing that we have been saved by grace through faith in Christ, let us bless the Lord at all times. "O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together. I sought the Lord, and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears...O taste and see that the Lord is good. How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! O fear the Lord, you saints of God for to those who fear Him there is no want."

Prayer 🙏
Heavenly Father, thank you for your word and the truths it contains. I pray that like David, I would bless you at all times and in all circumstances. I pray that I may develop an attitude of grateful thanks and worshipful praise in every area of my life - no matter how mundane the task may be. I pray that in all things and at all times I would seek to glorify you.
In Jesus' name, Amen.

Good day everyone, I hope you are always in good health and may God always protect you.
I would like to wish you a Merry CHRISTmas in advance.

I hope you will find Jesus Christ this CHRISTmas because he is the God who will save us. We are always told that religion is not what will save us, what we need is a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Below are some in the Bible verses that say Jesus Christ will save us.

1 John 5:11-13 NIV❤️
11 And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.

Eternal life is a gift from God to all who believe on Christ, not a reward for our work or a recompense for our merit.
Those who believe God's witness of Christ, have His resurrected life within, but those who have rejected God's witness are already condemned themselves, because they have not believed in the only begotten Son of God.

Never forget that it was the blood of Christ that saved us from the penalty of sin and it was the Cross of Christ that saved us from the power of sin. As believers, we are positioned IN CHRIST.

As believers, we are identified with Christ's death and so as believers, we were crucified with Christ. But also, as believers, we are identified with Christ's Resurrection and because He lives, we too shall live eternally, for He has broken the power of sin and death.

John 1:12 NIV❤️
12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—

To believe in His name means to accept everything that the Bible teaches about the Lord Jesus Christ; that He was sent by God to pay the price for our sin; that He is the Word of God made flesh Who dwelt among us and died as the sacrificial substitute for the sin of mankind.

To believe in His name is to believe that Jesus is God incarnate: the Creator of the world Who came to earth as a Man to pay the price for our sin. To believe in His name is to rely on Him for the salvation of our soul, rather than relying on our own good works for the forgiveness of sin and life everlasting. No self-effort, cleverness, or merit is sufficient to make us right with God. It is only by believing in His name that He gives us the right to be called His children.

Isaiah is one of the best loved books of the Bible. There are passages within its pages that contain detailed descriptions of Christ's suffering, sorrow, rejection, and death, as well as some beautiful illustrations of God's never-failing grace, His long-suffering mercy towards His people, Israel, and their final repentance and restoration.

Isaiah uses some very candid and forthright language to describe God's utter disgust towards His people, and the prophet clearly proclaims a coming judgement on Judah and Jerusalem. Indeed, the Lord, Himself, accuses His errant people of idolatry and systematically sets out His legal case against His disobedient and apostate nation.

The anger of the Lord is such that Isaiah calls on the heaven above and the earth beneath to bear witness to the Lord's accusations against His rebellious people: "Listen, O heavens, and hear, O earth; for the LORD speaks," we read. "Sons I have reared and brought up, but they have revolted against Me. An ox knows its owner, and a donkey knows its master's manger, but Israel does not know - My people do not understand."

Israel are guilty of God's blistering accusations for they were His chosen, covenanted people, and yet they turned their faces away from the Lord and followed after false gods, who were made of wood and stones - and were not gods at all! His severe indictment of His guilty people is deeply troubling: "Israel does not know," was the Lord's plaintive judgement. "God's people do not understand."

It was the sinful condition of the nation that aroused God's flaming anger, for a holy God cannot look upon sin. It was because of Israel's rebellious sin and unbelief that the people stood guilty before the Lord - and it is because of sin that the fallen, Adamic race is spiritually dead in trespasses and sins and at enmity with God. Israel had been given every opportunity to follow the Lord and trust His Word - and yet they did not understand the dire consequences of innate sin and their many sins.

God was Israel's Provider, and He had guided them through the wilderness into the promised land of Canaan. He protected them from their enemies - even when they abused His goodness and blasphemed His holy name. But sadly, they had less understanding of their Creator than the beasts of the field or the birds of the air: "For an ox knows that his owner feeds him, and a little donkey recognises the master who puts hay into her manger," but Israel did not understand Who God really was - how sad.

BUT GOD in His grace looked down on guilty, apostate, defiant Israel, and purposed to send His own, unblemished Son to be the Lamb of God Who would take away the sin of the world. Jesus was sent to be the perfect Lamb, slain before the foundation of the earth - through Whose sacrificial blood their scarlet sins could be wiped away, by faith, and become as white as snow: "Though your sins are red like crimson, they will be like wool," is God's promise to His people Israel - and His promises are 'YES' and 'AMEN' in Christ Jesus our Lord.

In the same way the Lord, in His grace, looked down on you and me. While we were yet sinners, God gave His only begotten Son to be the sacrifice for our sin - so that by grace through faith in Him, we might be redeemed, receive eternal life, and be returned into sweet fellowship with our Heavenly Father. And even on those occasions when we are unfaithful - He remains faithful for He cannot deny His Word.

How important to learn this lesson from Israel's failure... that God is not mocked nor will He tolerate the sin of His people. As members of the Body of Christ, we have been given ALL we need for life and godliness... and we have been instructed, in His Word, on how to live a life that pleases God. We are to abide in Him, walk in spirit and truth, die to self, and live for the Lord.

We are to let the Word of truth dwell in us richly and study to show ourselves approved unto God. We are to pray without ceasing, rejoice evermore, give thanks in everything, and love our brothers and sisters in Christ, as we watch for the Lord's soon return. We are to stand firm in the faith and submit to the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit, day by day, and we are to live our lives looking to Jesus and learning to say, in all things, "THY will, not mine be done."

Jesus had a unique relationship with His Heavenly Father, for He was the eternal Son Who became a Member of the human race, but He also had a unique relationship with humanity, for He was fully Man and yet fully God. This hypostatic union of eternal deity with perfect humanity is found in one Person alone, the Lord Jesus Christ Who became the Head of a new creation and the Author of eternal salvation to all who believe on His name.

Christ was not born with a sin nature like the rest of humanity, and although fully God and having all the divine attributes of the Godhead, He had to learn obedience by the things that He suffered. And so we discover in this verse that Christ was not only perfect, but also made perfect. He was perfected through the things that He suffered. Jesus was made perfect, and having been made perfect He became the source of eternal life to all who believe on His name.

Having to be perfected did not refer to any personal improvement, for He was already perfect in word and deed, action and attitude, mind and motive. It was not His essential attributes that required improvement, for He was flawless. The Lord Jesus had to be perfected in His office as the Messiah of Israel and Saviour of the world.

Although fully God, He had to learn how to live as a man under the guidance and direction of God so that He could fulfil the will of His Father. He had to acquire a full understanding of manhood and the human condition if He were to identify with men and become humanities substitute for sin. And so He laid aside His glory and lived His life as God expects all men to live; in total obedience to the guidance of God, not relying on Himself but learning obedience through the things that he experienced in His manhood. It was through His incarnation, obedient life, humiliation, and suffering, that He was made perfect. Jesus was perfected by the things that He suffered so that by means of His sacrificial death and glorious Resurrection, He could become our perfect Saviour.

Multiple passages tell us that salvation is by grace through faith in the death, burial, and Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, but here we read that He became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey. But how, we ask, is this apparent contradiction reconciled? Is eternal salvation conditional on faith or on obedience?

In Romans 1:5 we discover that the obedience that God requires of man is faith - faith in His Word. We read that the 'obedience of faith' is brought about by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. Paul was appointed by God: "To bring about obedience of faith among all the Gentiles for His name's sake."

And Paul concludes His Roman epistle with these words: "Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which has been kept secret for long ages past, but now is manifested, and by the Scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the eternal God, has been made known to all the nations, leading to the obedience of faith; to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, be the glory forever. Amen."

The incarnation of Christ is a profound mystery: that God should become a Man to take the punishment that men justly deserves, in order to save the human race from sin and death. God is Spirit and in order to be identified with man and take on the role of Kinsman-Redeemer He had to enter the human race in a physical body and live His entire life in exactly the same way that we live: living, breathing, eating, sleeping, working, with His own lifeblood pulsing round His human frame and subjected to every trial and temptation that is common to all humanity.

Christ's whole life from start to finish was an education on how man should live his life the way God expects man to live. He had to find out what it was to be hungry and thirsty, despised and rejected, hated and betrayed, and even facing death so that He would be able to sympathise with all the difficulties that we have to face. He had to learn how to live as an obedient servant, entirely dependent upon God as His sole Provider and great Protector. He had to learn how to resist the many and diverse temptations that we all are faced with in this life.

The eternal Son of God came to earth as a man in order to rectify all the damage that was done to God's creation by the first man, Adam, when he sinned against God and caused the earth to be cursed and the entire human race to fall from its dignified position as God's regent and representative. Having become part of His own creation in order to deal with sin, death, and Satan, Jesus had to discover what it was to live in a frail human body in a sin-sick, fallen world.

The only way that man can survive in a fallen environment, is to carefully follow God's instructions on how to live, which are all written in His Word. This requires utter obedience to God's Word and His will; and it also requires total denial of self and one's own self-will.

To live as God created man to live, is to remain entirely dependent upon God as sole Provider and great Protector. Christ lived His life this way, by obeying God's every Word and carrying out His every Will in thought word and deed, for although He was the eternal Son, Jesus learned how to be obedient to God's Word and will, and He learned this through the things that He suffered.

God, in the Person of Jesus Christ, chose to be born into the race that He Himself had created so that He could live His life exactly as God created men to live. He not only lived this way as an example to us on how we should live, but to be qualified to become the Head of a new race of humanity that would once again be obedient to God's Will and Word: a new creation that would live in total dependence on God and utter denial of self, in the power of the Spirit and to the glory of God.

Jesus is the singular intermediary between God and man. He is the eternal God yet also, He is the perfect Man Who died for our sins and rose again from the dead. Jesus is the one and only Mediator between God and fallen humanity, seated on the right hand of the Majesty of high, and He ever lives to make intercession for those who believe in His name. When the enemy accuses us before the throne of God, it is Jesus Who stands in the gap. He is the One Who defends us and mediates on our behalf.

From the start of Hebrews 3 to chapter 5 verse 10, we are given some important details and characteristics about the Person and work of the Lord Jesus. He is our faithful and compassionate High Priest, He was tempted like we are and yet did not sin, and He became the ultimate sacrifice for our sin. He is the Lamb of God, slain from the foundation of the world Who takes away the sin of the world.

In this section, we are warned of the dangers of unbelief while being reminded that it was God the Father Who appointed the Lord Jesus to His elevated position, where He functions as our eternal High Priest after the order of Melchizedek. Unlike Aaron whose priesthood was limited, inferior, and temporary, Christ's high priesthood is permanent, vastly superior, and will last forever and ever.

It was God the Father Who gave His only begotten Son to be the Child, born into the world as the sacrifice for sin. And it was the Lord Jesus Himself Who gave His life as a free-will offering and oblation, out of love for the Father, to pay the price for the sin of the world.

His sacrifice was a sweet-smelling savour to God, but we read in this verse: "During His earthly life, He offered prayers and appeals, with loud cries and tears, to the One who was able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His reverence."

None of us can begin to comprehend what it cost the eternal Son of God in those days of His flesh. He was the Almighty, eternal Creator of the world, Who laid aside His heavenly glory to be made in the form of a man so that He could lead a perfect life, die a substitutionary death, and demonstrate the way we should all live as God intended man to live; trusting Him entirely and living in active dependence upon Him.

Jesus, being the incarnate Word, is the perfect example of how to live a holy life of active dependence on God. During His time on earth, He lived by faith, saying only those things the Father said and doing only those things the Father did. He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death on a Cross, and was able to say, "Thy will not Mine be done for Your glory."

He did everything the Father told Him to do - willingly. Jesus was actively dependent on the Father and lived moment by moment in spirit and truth. He maintained fellowship, received guidance, and was given instruction and power from His Heavenly Father. He came to fulfil His Father's will, and it was in the garden of Gethsemane and on the Cross of Calvary, that Jesus in His humanity: "Offered up both prayers and supplications with loud cries and tears, to the One Who was able to save Him from death - and He was heard because of His piety."

Christ's entire life was one of prayer and praise, thanksgiving and worship. The prayers and supplications offered in the garden and on the Cross were not only a sacrificial offering to His Father, but were accompanied by strong cries and tears.

No wonder His prayers were accompanied with strong cries and tears. Jesus knew that the pure, unbroken communion He had enjoyed with the Father from eternity past was soon to be severed, while the floodgate of sin was to be poured over Him and His Father would have to turn away from the Son of His love. He could easily have called on legions of angels to rescue Him from the death sentence He willingly accepted on your behalf and mine.

His faith was sorely tested throughout this ordeal, but God loved the word so much that He gave His Son to be the propitiation for our sin, and Christ loved the Church so much that He gave Himself up for her. No wonder He offered up prayers and supplication with loud crying and tears, and how we praise and thank God that He commended Himself into the hand of GOD Who is the One Who is able to save Him from the eternal consequences of death, and that through faith in Him our salvation is secured.

Only GOD was good enough to pay the price for sin, but only a perfect MAN, a sinless Kinsman-Redeemer could act as a substitute for fallen sinners. And because of his reverend submission to the Father and unfailing trust in Him, Christ's prayer was heard and Jesus became the first-fruit from the grave - the first MAN to rise from the dead - thus breaking the power of sin, Satan, death, and hell for ALL who place their faith in HIM.

On that astonishing and holy day, Christ Jesus became our heavenly high Priest, after the order of Melchizedek. Today there is a Man in heaven, seated on the throne of Almighty God, acting as our Mediator and interceding day and night, for all who are His. Praise His holy name.

During His sojourn on earth, Christ's main office was Prophet. He was 'The Prophet who was to come' about whom Moses spoke. He was the Builder and Son of the house in which Moses served. He was the fulfilment of the one about whom Moses witnessed, and He was the substance of Law which was given through Moses.

He also came as king David's greater Son and God's appointed King-Priest Who was to govern His people Israel. He was to be Mediator between God and man, while representing man to God as heaven's High Priest. The Lord Jesus Christ came to reconcile sinners back to a holy God. Although He was rejected by His people and His enthronement and kingdom reign was postponed, Christ was appointed God's King-Priest following His ascension where He was rewarded with the pledge, "You are My Son; TODAY I have become Your Father."

Today, a heavenly Man is seated on the throne of His Father in heaven. His main office is High Priest where He intercedes day and night on behalf of the saints (the Church). The Man, Christ Jesus, is the one and only Mediator between God and man, and although His High Priestly office is based on the Aaronic priesthood which was instituted by Moses, Christ's status and standing is pre-eminently superior: "For He is a Priest forever after the order of Melchizedek." He is Jerusalem's King of Peace and Righteousness, and Priest of the most high God.

Only a sinless Man could qualify to become our Kinsman-Mediator representing fallen man before a holy God, and only if God became a Man could He act as Mediator between a perfect God and the sinful race of man. Despite the similarities, we discover many differences between Christ's priestly role and Israel's earthly priesthood.

Although Israel's high priest had to be a man appointed by God who was full of compassion, humility, mercy, and grace, and who acted as an intermediary between God and man while representing man to God - he was a sinner. Christ, however, is sinless. He has no need to offer continuous sacrifices like Israel. Although Aaron and his successors had to make a sacrifice for their own sin, Christ has no need to make such a sacrifice.

Christ did not simply offer a lamb to the Lord as the atonement for sin, but became the holy Lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the world. He is the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world and will one day be the Lamb that opens the scroll. He is the Man Who will one day restore the kingdom to God.

Christ is not required to make continuous offerings, year after year, like Israel's high priest. Jesus made atonement for sin once and for all at the Cross. The sinless Man Who willingly shed His blood to redeem His fallen creatures, rose from the dead, and ascended back to heaven, is seated at the right hand of the Father as His anointed King-Priest according to the priestly order of Melchizedek.

Unlike the earthly pattern where no king could act as priest and no priest could be crowned as king, Jesus is both King of kings and our heavenly High Priest. He is Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek, who was both King of Jerusalem and Priest of God. Unlike the earthly Aaronic priesthood which was transferred from one generation to the next, Christ's order is an everlasting order and His kingdom rules over all.

There are several references to Melchizedek in Scripture, and many indirect allusions to this unusual figure who brought out bread and wine to Abraham and blessed him and his descendants forever. Like the Law, the Prophets, the Psalms, and so many Old Testament people, EVERYTHING point us to Christ the Prophet who was to come, the eternal King of kings from David's royal line, and a Priest forever, after the Priestly order of Melchizedek.
